It's a shame I've already filled the cupboard with juice maker, rice cooker, a smoothie making thingy and steam cooker, otherwise I'd buy this in a jiffy!

just made some!
2 emlee double cream 284ml pots were 65p each, some whole milk...80p, sugar... pretty much nothing, flavor, well heres the expense, cocoa powder 1 pound for a couple sachets, but real vanilla pods are pricey right now, ya you can use extract, but i like to see the vanilla bits! In this case i made chocolate coconut, all in about 3.50 for the best damn ice cream you will ever taste, only prob is, it sets HARD, have to leave it out a bit to scoop, but slightly melted ice cream is best tasting anyway!

Having looked at the similar items below this on eBay some cost only £6! There not branded but still! I wouldn't be paying 16.99 for this and definitely never the full price

Need lots of space in your freezer to freeze the bowl.

Bought one a couple years ago, works well if you put the mixture in the fridge for 30 min before pouring into the ice cream maker as I had it a few times when it didn't freeze. If you do this the ice cream you'll make is ten times better than anything from the shops.

Vanilla pods are indeed a bit pricey right now. However, I have a few left from my last Amazon order, so am very tempted to get one of these machines now.

So tempted. But I've got a batch of equipment I don't use already. Can I make ice cream in a Nutribullet, the one item that does get constant use?

Ok. It takes a bit longer than 15-20 minutes to freeze, but there's plenty of 'No Churn' ice cream recipes out there that don't need an ice cream maker - just a mixer. Nigella has a whole range of them and I regularly make her espresso coffee one and it's wonderful.
Also, (and this is mainly for adults of course) if you don't want it to set rock hard, you put a few teaspoons of a matching liqueur in there (for the coffee one I use Kahlua) and the alcohol content means that the ice cream doesn't set too solid.

Rubbish... it's just a big frozen bucket. You freeze the bucket overnight then put your mix in it, bought one for the kids, just chucked it away.

You have to spend quite a bit to buy a good ice cream maker. It needs a strong motor to churn up the ice cream as it gets hard plus it will cool down the mixture on its own, none of the silly put the bowl in a freezer. Cold as this won't be used after a week. Spend more and buy something that will last and do the job properly.

Easy for this company to offer a 2 year warranty safe in the knowledge that 99% of people who buy this will use it twice (max) then put it in a cupboard until they move house years later and wonder what the hell they were thinking.

That. And also ask you to return in the original box. Right, as if I have space to keep boxes throughout the warranty period.

I have ordered this a week ago and didn't get any despatch or ship notifications. I messaged them asked where are my items? (I bought two) They said they have no record of my order and asked for PayPal transaction ID. All purchase details shown in my Ebay account and I'm sure also in theirs. I cancelled the order and asked for a refund, useless seller!
