You don't keep up to date with latest fighter gaming news do you with the latest PS4 version the PS4 version of USFIV is the definitive version like tournament standard fairness between both sides on PC a person rig can have a advantage over another while on PS4 it's same between both plus latest patch PS4 version has the least lag so don't make stuff up go do your research its also the max settings and no script and macro cheaters/hackers unlike on PC version even I ran into alot of people using cheap hacks on PC also the online scene for PC version is already a graveyard hardly much people playing online while on PS4 version you'll find people way faster than on PC with better connections etcetc

this game is more complete than sfv! but more than that this game is something you can actually work torwards improving in on fundamentals that works in many fighters. sfv teaches you how to cheese your way to victory.

I just tried playing this again as I borrowed from a friend and I just don't like the game. Its so bland and boring and also no depth to the gameplay compared to USF4. Just mash buttons and hope for the best. Seriously what happened to this franchise? Whatever, with Tekken 7 coming out very soon the Street Fighter franchise is dead to me. Capcom just doesn't know how to make good games anymore.

It was a big enough deal for them to use the 360 version in tournaments until it was fixed.

It wasn't a big deal like most people such as yourself were making it out to be and that includes Digital Foundry who are hungry for clicks to stay relevant. Also they did give a few patches that made the PS4 version the definitive version of SF4. You would know that if you simply google'ed "USF4 PS4 patch".

Poor patch? No, PS4 version is/was the tournament standard platform!

It was utterly broken at launch, that's why I asked.

Isn't this a really poor port? I hope they patched it.

If you can't maintain 60fps in the game then of course console is better. Saying, my PC is crap and I can't run the game properly, is not an argument in favour of the ps4 version being better.
3.5f of lag on PC, 5 frames on ps4 after patches, it's more responsive simple as that. Being the tournament standard doesn't make it the best version. Same for Guilty Gear, 4f of lag on ps4, 1f of lag on PC with vsync off, PS4 is the standard, but still its not better. Same goes for SFV as well, I'm sure I can find multiple other examples of fighting games which are more responsive on PC.

Using a PS4 controller is not as sensitive as on the PS4. I know I have done both. And just like MKX it was just a bad port over. Patches are available to try and fix it but still it has major framedrops now and then. I ain't starting a war etc: I own a PC/PS4/XBOX I have tried the versions and by far the PS4 version runs the smoothest. PC gaming rig is not the best BTW, you gotta get that in your head

Less lag, higher resolution options, use any controller you want, please tell me how the PC port is not the best version.

PC is actually a bad port. I use to have it, but a refund from Steam. Plus I feel beat em ups handle better on consoles, especially with the PlayStation controller. Just my opinions.

Much MUCH more single player content, more fighters and a differently balanced fighting system. SFV is mainly for 1v1 internet play and plays more like SF3 for timing and combos.
If you prefer fighting others online then SFV, otherwise there's loads of conent to get on with on 4

Lets just say this. I bought USF4 for PS4 back in 2015, only bought SFV when it was on sale around middle of 2016 because of bad reviews but traded SFV in soon after because it was crap. I'm still playing USF4 to this day.

Prefer SFV over 4 personally. Gameplay favours the aggressor more, input buffer removes 1 frame link bull ****, less OS's/FADC/vortex bullcrap, less projectile spam heavy. Obviously this has tons more content and a boat load of characters compared to 5.

Great price although my SSF2 days on the SNES saturated my Street Fighter tolerance levels.. Hasn't changed enough for me in all these years. Oh woe is me... :man:

thanks for the heat guys, first ever post lol. I bought it as soon as I seen it. It handles so much better than the PS3 version and it 10 times better than that rip off SFV I bought.

There was Regular IV, then Super IV, then Arcade IV, then Ultra IV.
4 versions Ultra is the last one, in each one it added a lot of stuff you can look up in the internet, Ultra is a completely different game to vanilla IV. Way different and way way bigger and better
Was going to do a LMGTFY but decided that that would be mean lol.

what is the difference between Ultra IV and regular IV on PS3?
is it worth getting if you've played the old IV quite a bit? or is it just a glorified re-release?
