There are several links to the Vienna on the gearbest website, so if you want a different colour do a search for the vienna on gearbest and try the code, some may work.

I would personally spend more and go for the redmi note 4, but obviously this is still a good deal for the spec on this phone.

I got mine just a week after ordering. For the price it's very good value for money. Physically it has good fit and finish and a nice rubbery exterior feel. The buttons don't move around and have a nice, firm feel to them.
It's fast, though not as fast as my S7 but that's to be expected. I have no issues opening multiple tabs in Chrome, playing NFS etc. The fingerprint sensor at the back is actually a natural placement, and it works without error 90% of the time (about the same as my S7); it's also always live so you don't need to bring the phone out of stand by to use it - just touch it and the phone is unlocked and comes on. A lot better than my S7 to be honest, which needs to be woken up before you can use the fingerprint sensor.
GPS works perfectly, I get a fix inside the house within 5 sec. Battery lasts a whole day and a bit on moderate use. Screen is perfectly usable. The camera, as in all these cheap Chinese phone, is the only let down - it works fine in daylight (good colours, contrast, detail etc) but in low light there's significant noise. Malwarebytes found one potential dangerous app.
All in all for what I paid I'm more than happy. Have ordered a case from a 3rd party 'bay seller for 3 quid.

I'm a little bit put off by the comments on battery life, that's one of my biggest issues with my current phone.
Has anyone got the Xiaomi Redmi 4 4G, I've seen it for £107 and it's got a rating of 4.9/5 from over 1400 reviews.

I've got the Xiaomi Redmi 4x global edition which comes with 3gb of ram and band 20 for full 4g support. Battery life is 2 days easy. Excellent phone.
I think Xiaomi are in a different league to the other Chinese manufacturers and I have received numerous security updates and Nougats already available for beta testers.

had a nasty experience with Ulefone be touch 3 . Battery life is crap, within 6 months the battery was deteriorated, what's app n fb crashed all the time, when I emailed Ulefone, they acknowledged the fact that the battery was defective, but did nothing to help me out, Stay away from the Chinese crap

Had a bad experience with a Ulefone Power in which the digitiser went faulty after a few months. Gearbest full refunded though, to their credit.

You can get spare batteries from most Chinese sites as well as ebay. There are very good teardown videos on YouTube. All you need is a cheapo set of screwdrivers and 10min to replace the battery. Shame throwing away the phone if the only issue is the battery.

Agreed. Was a great phone. Interestingly, Gearbest sent it back to Ulefone and they said they couldn't repair it, hence the full refund.

I had one of these for about 3 months, wouldn't recommend it. Specs sound great on paper but in reality it doesn't live up to them. The speakers are very quiet and tinny, fingerprint sensor worked sporadically, volume on calls is very low indeed and general performance is average at best. If a phone has 3gb ram, then opening a page in Chrome, pressing the home button and then going back to Chrome shouldn't cause the page to reload!

Did you get the Marshmallow update? Word on the XDA forums is that much of the instability was due to Android 5 and was ironed out in Marshmallow.

Can anyone comment on what's in the audio stage, which DAC, op amps etc?
Smart Audio PA NXO - I found it. Meh. Not sure about the claims. Anyone got one and can comment?

Hi. It seems to have the DAC as the Xperia Z3, which i used to own until i broke the screen for the final time. I cant say if this is 48 or 96. But is the only one in their range to say "HiFi".

Managed to grab one today am. Thanks OP. A fantastic price for this phone. 3GB RAM seems to be the norm now for most Androids, up from 2GB last year.
Plenty of advice on rooting this with Kingroot and installing a custom ROM (always advisable with 'Chinese' phones to ensure no malware) on XDA-Developers.
There's also a teardown video on YouTube which will help with replacing the battery when it comes to that - this is certainly involved as the battery is under a couple of ribbon cables, but you won't be buying a Chinese phone if you don't like getting your hands dirty.
I got this for my wife last year. I thought it looked great but she had some problems. It kept wanting to install/update some random apps and when she did click OK once it really messed it up, fixed with a factory reset but it would still keep popping up to update it. Only lasted her 4 months, dropped on the kitchen laminate floor and the screen shattered a bit easily.
Looks a good price though, if I was after a phone a would give it a try.

Last year I got the ulefone Paris for £56, which is apx £64 in today's money, but thats got only 5" screen, 2gb ram, 720 screen, no fingerprint reader, small battery. So to get all the improvements the Vienna gives for an extra £16 is pretty good.

No gyroscope, if that matters to you, but it does have a MicroSD slot (which uses up one of the dual-SIM slots).
I bought one, cheapest 5.5" FHD cheap Chinese phone I've seen, half decent reviews, and for £80 surely you cant go wrong.

isn't that the point with these phones it costs ££££ to replace a screen so if you are a dropper ( like me ) then its not a massive problem, that said u have a Chinese phone and 18 months In its lasted longer than my htc

I tried to replace a screen on a Meizu phone. Shops just don't want to spend their time on anything apart from Iphones or Galaxies. One shop charged me 50 quid plus a screen cost. The phone died 2 months after this replacement
