Yes i certainly dont want to make a mentally challenged person mad at me. How exactly do you know where they were made in the first place. Gear best gets its stuff from the same places any other chinese seller gets their stuff from and the factorys they are made in are never specified.
They peddle he same stuff any other chinese site sells including aliexpress, tinydeal ect. You dont know what you're talking about so cram it. Out of all the dodgy electrical stuff coming from china this adapter would be safest thing you could actually buy as it contains no electrical components only an adapter and some small copper cables.

Gearbest are known peddlers of dodgy goods. The company name alone should put you off! I generally avoid anything written in what is commonly known as "engrish" but again, I don't really care that people go ahead and buy this junk, I was being helpful with my original comment if you can believe that, if not then I hope it doesn't cause a nasty fire and burn your houses to the ground as dodgy electrical goods or accessories are known for doing....

It was not a special deal...just the going price on ebay for this stuff. It is very cheap from China if you are prepared to wait 2-3 weeks for delivery

Oh, I wasn't aware of that. I assumed tech like this would be at least a couple of quid.

Odd, said $0.78 on checkout screen, then screen after that $0.72.
Anyway it worked out 58p once done through PayPal.
Then a screen telling me to remember my order number, which is 17 digits long! I'll try.
Even though I didn't get this at the rock bottom $0.01 price, this has been a fun deal, what with all the to-ing and fro-ing on their site, I kept going back to checkout and trying to reapply the promo code to make it finally work. A proper wild goose chase but all fun, that's what I love about HUKD and bargain hunting, it's that thrill of the chase!

Even at $0.78 (the price it's showing at now) it's still worth it, isn't it? Only about 50p, can't really go wrong?

Gotta be honest you've completely lost me talking about laptops and desktops. Granted it would allow a MicroUSB connection to a laptop or a desktop but there's not much of a point in doing that.
This will primarily be purchased and used for converting MicroUSB chargers and connectors to the latest Android devices that have a USB-C port at the bottom.
You can't see the point of it but you have said "what is Type-C" so I guess you probably wouldn't see the point of something when you don't actually know what it is. I tried to think of a way to say that without being condescending but it is hard when you're basically saying "I don't understand this thing therefore it is pointless" lol.
Shouldn't this be labeled micro USB to type C USB rather than the other way round?

I'm not sure the price means much really. I remember working for a very large retailer selling USB printer cables for £14.99 with every printer (before wifi printers were a thing) and the cost price was something like 18p (cost price was shown if we wrote off an item due to loss)
Just because you pay £15 for it doesn't mean it's not still a cheap piece of tat!
