FireAngel smoke alarm twin pack Easy press test and silence Ionisation sensors which provides a early warning of fast flaming fires that may spread Batteries included, lasts 12 months in normal conditions
Kerp your receipt safe, I had 2 fitted by the fire brigade and they have been replaced 3 times in the last 5 years. 10 year battery lasts about a year before randomly bleeping. Ok for free but I wouldn't pay for them

Got my smoke detectors today, they don't even protect them with bubble wrap, damaged packaging and one keeps bleeping to say battery low even though I swapped batteries. The other one intermittant does not bleep when you press the test button.Has 5 years replace by date.

Don't bother with this deal. The alarms I was sent had a "replace by 2017" date on them. So they are effectively useless 10 year old stock. The batteries were dead too. Now pursuing a refund so I can buy some fresh ones with some working life in them!!

Phone your local station and ask for a home fire safety visit, they'll arrange a time and date that suits you, they're only in the house for 10 minutes

Various sized cradles so it's hit or miss with the fitments, older detectors are usually larger than the modern smaller ones

Im also someone who had these fitted by the Fire Brigade, and they only lasted 12 months before beeping at me.
Reading the comments here, I have took a chance that those were a bad batch and these will truly last the test of time.
So have ordered some, thanks to the OP.
EDIT*
Just wondering does anyone know if these will fit into the already situated cradle's or cases on my ceiling? as the ones I had fitted by the Fire Brigade twisted out so you could replace them easily if you catch my drift?

Am I missing something here? You didn't pay for them - got the fire brigade to come out and fit 2. Are the batteries not replaceable hence why you got the fire brigade out again?
Must remember to start complaining about items I got for free and fitted....
And seeing that the fire brigade try and prevent fires I wonder why they would fit items not fit for purpose.
Alternatively, like most things, people don't review or praise the product if they are happy with it.
Guaranteed the small % of people who aren't, will.

Fireangel had a "container" load that apparently had not been weather proofed properly whilst in transit and moisture got into them corroding parts inside. I had a very helpful lady explain this whilst she organised a very efficient and quick replacement. Our replacements have all been fine now.

The Fire Brigade recently replaced our Fire Angel alarms with Kidde ones due to a battery issue which caused risk to them catching fire

they knocked on my door and asked if I wanted a couple..then proceeded to fit them for me, for free
they have since started beeping, so personally I wouldn't buy them and probably wouldn't bother again even if free

Great spot. Ordered 6. They are fine as long as they don't get dusty in my experience. If they do they start to give false alarms.
Don't worry I love getting told what to do by people who haven't posted a deal in 7 years!!

1) A person has a right to an opinion irrespective of the number of deals he or she has posted. There is no minimum requirement on HUKD. No doubt the first thing you are going to do is count the number of deals I have posted to judge if I am entitled to an opinion here - be my guest.
2) He has already stated it has a 10 year battery so I cant see why you are asking if the batteries are not replaceable.
3) He did not say he got the fire brigade out to replace the alarm. From your post it would seem you are trying to paint this person as a freeloader who needlessly calls out the fire brigade. If you bother to check, you will find that just about every regional fire department offers a free alarm fitting service so please get over it.
4) The fact that someone has done some work for free does not mean that the person who carried out the work (or manufacturer of the appliance) is not liable for any damage or injury caused by the work/appliance. For example, if a person won a mobile phone that burnt their house down due to a charging defect, would it be fair for the manufacturer to argue that because the phone was free they are not liable ?
5) With regard to your comment why they would fit items not fit for purpose, have you not considered the possibility that the fire brigade did not know this at the time ?. If you bother to check you will find some fire brigades have issued safety notices with regard to these alarms and some have stopped giving out certain models.

There was an issue with a small number of the FireAngel ST-620 series which I believe were the ones fitted by the fire brigade. These were the ones with non-replaceable Lithium batteries that should have lasted 10 years, but due to some a problem with the battery some of them lasted less than 2 years.
When customers complained, the company gave out a replacement - no prizes for guessing which model !!!

one of the best i would say, during warm weather the battery eats up quickly but then again i wouldnt be put off by that price as its nothing compared when you have a family saved.

You need to clean your house more and not have the filters getting dust in them.... sadly I am saying this from experience. Removed the dust and false alarms stopped.

I had a couple of Fire Angels fitted for free by the local fire brigade - one of them kept occasionally having false alarms until one day when there were 10 false alarms in 24 hours (including one at 3.00am), so that got binned quickly afterwards. The other worked, but emitted a "geiger counter" sounding static noise regularly until it too decided have a load of false alarms. I doubt I'd buy this brand myself...

I have had some of these for a couple of years, they do go through 9V batteries quite quickly which is annoying but don't give many false alarms.

Don't forget that smoke alarms have expiry dates - I have a couple of this model and it says 'replace by 2018'. I had a couple of CO2 alarms that just switched themselves off on the expiry date (about 5 years).

I didn't say I got the fire brigade out, the alarms were provided by the fire brigade for free. They should last for 10 years, my ones failed after 12 months. I contacted fire angel to see why it was randomly beeping and they said they were faulty and sent reolacement. I am an my 3rd set of replacement alarms provided by fire angel. I would never by these, and have bought another 2 alternative ones, if the fire angel ones fail again they will be binned this time, even though I have fire angel saved to my contacts.
