Its been 7 months since I posted this deal and most people don't even know about it or think it's expired but It's still running, get a free data rewards sim card of Three with the FREE 200mb of data each month and NEVER requiring a top up..
These are ideal if you are travelling to one of there feel at home countries or are a low data user here in the uk.
I now have 5 of these and therefore get 1GB of data each month totally free they are still working after seven months and I have not topped up a single pound!
I don't know why the Hot UK Deals link is not working but here is the direct address below

Here's a link to this deal I previously posted because I couldn't find it from the search bar, most questions are answered on the first few pages. hotukdeals.com/fre…596

I don't know why the Hot UK Deals 'get deal' link is still not working but here is the direct address below
Can you use this for your tablet only ? And do you need to be with Three or can anyone order it ? It renews every month is that correct?

Thanks op! You can download the three reward app with this SIM and start saving. The app is called Wuntu.
paulandpam1
19 May 17#8
Yes It can be used in a tablet or mifi device and also in a phone that is dual sim. Anyone can order one and as I said in my description they automatically renew every month from the date you activate it so if you activate it today you'll get your free 200mb and another 200mb on the 19th June, July etc. I have 5 sims all activated on different days so when one runs out I simply use another and the following month they all refresh.

I think that you do need to, on the safe side I do a chargeable event every 180 days. Send a text or make a call. Note that with this Data Reward sim you cannot buy £10, £20 Bundles which are available to standard Three PAYG sim (calls, text and data). You buy money's worth of data but the cheapest amount to buy is £2 for international data (£2 can infact be used to make calls and text).

Ive had mine for over a year the data counts as a chargeable event. Dont do it with a gold number though theres a few reasons why you shouldnt do that

I have installed Wuntu on my tablet (been using these data sims for ages) but when I try to register with Three/Wuntu it keeps saying it is only available for Three customers. Huh? Any suggestions?

Erm, it's free.
I've drawn it out for a month using it purely for browsing and the odd email. Turn off images and it lasts a surprisingly long time. Not everyone wants to watch box sets while strolling around.

nigelbutler
20 May 17#31
As others have said you can get one or some - has to be the free data sim - then top up £2 minimum - its says for international calls but you can use it for 2p texts and 3p calls - someone like my dad uses minimal data just for football scores and whatsapp and occassional calls- £2 lasts a long time!
possibly £2 could last him several months and of course 200mb can be converted into whatsapp phone calls
patcho
20 May 17#32
Use it with the tesco international calling app for free calls to landlines and 1p minute to mobiles oh and free texts.

set this up last night and the allowance left page on the website doesn't say how much data I have it just says what credit I have I.e. £5 is this right or should I see remaining data as well?

20 May 17#34
I have been using a couple of these in the kids phones, they were better than buying iPod Touch devices, and with 200mb of data they can use it while we are all out and about. They loved it last year as they could go Pokemon hunting in Spain or FaceTime their friends in the UK and it didn't cost me a penny, or cent!
pengwyn
20 May 17#35
Just a tip you can use these without topping up. Just get mobiwol and VPN firewall the data to just messenger and csipsimple and your covered by 200 minutes of free data calling

20 May 17#37
I've had a couple of these SIMs for a while and you don't need to top up at all to use the free data. You only need to make sure they are used at least once every 6 months to keep the SIM working (And the data use counts for that purposes too ). Best thing of it all is that works abroad.
illy1965
20 May 17#38
How do you get to use it abroad when I was in Bucharest a few weeks ago I couldn't get the data working, as soon as I was back in the UK it was working fine

20 May 17#40
I have a few of these just had a week in canarys and the one i topped up with £2 worked perfectly. The ones with no top up wouldn't work but worked fine when home in uk.Can also say if topped up they are just like a payg 123 sim with 200mb free every month, After the 200mb is used it will take money off the credit,If you don't use the credit it never runs out and the 200mb renews every month. Register the sim with Three and then you can check mb's left and credit.

My daughter's ipad has a sim slot on it.
(Bought it a few years ago when the offer was posted on hotukdeals - 64gb ipad mini for 299. Didn't need the sim slot, but the offer was too good to avoid)
I put one of these in her ipad. If the ipad was stolen / lost, you can use the sim for your ipad to be located via findmyiphone.
(You can also top the sim up, so if the 200mb allocation for this month has been used up, top up pounds to get the sim working)

If you are using mobile wifi you can check your balance by logging in (type in something like 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your browser although it differs from device to device). From there you can access all your wifi settings, read texts and check your data balance. If you need to know your default password please feel free to give me a shout.

21 May 17#48
Used this for a week in the Netherlands last year with Waze/Google Maps, emails etc. Lasted the whole week and didn't cost a penny. Be warned though, Three's own staff are pretty clueless if you ask whether this SIM reverts to a 3-2-1 PAYG if you run out of the 200MB (i.e. 1p a MB). It definitely does, but they told me it shouldn't.

Works fine in a phone for data, or top up for calls.
MYS
21 May 17#51
I think it works better when you're connected to mobile data. It wouldn't work for me with WiFi only, I had to have both WiFi and mobile turned on for it to register of on Wuntu.

21 May 17#52
All is true , all is good, except: data abroad is VERY VERY SLOW. Tested in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Poland,Lithuania, Spain, Portugal. Average speed 217kbps. Takes ages even to check e-mail.

This is good for low users combined with the 321 plan. Has it in my sons phone for over a year, he only uses it if he goes to his friends and free iMessages and I can track where is and it's perfect. When he starts senior school that will all change but gave a few months before that happens so free Mb is perfect.

pengwyn
22 May 17#55
Thats a good point, I expect Three to turn off the 321 rates for uk calling when these had enough freeloaders then theyll wall garden the deal so make sure you have a few dozen beforehand so you can be grandfathered into the deal Thats the point when you start toppinf them up. Eventually theyll bye Bye the deal completely with 'the letter' ala oneplan

As I said they only last 1 month unless you top read the small print. It's called a reward obviously for buying a add on or top up

Freedompop has a 200Mb data allowance (which can be increased with offers & invites), reset each month and it allows "calls" - it uses a special app that connects via the data stream rather than the telephone network. I paid a £1 and have never topped up - they are offering them free now... I'll order one of these 3 SIMs and see how it compares... Thanks OP!
Rimi
24 May 17#62
Freedom Pop is crap. Call quality is very poor, account gets suspended without reason, when calling local number, getting message you are Out of international minutes....too many problems. Had them, tried them and FP SIM binned.
No, thats different story. Free 200MB monthly on Data Reward SIM stays on.

24 May 17#65
I guess that's why I haven't posted it as a deal! To be fair I have had my fair few problems with them, however they have always been nice on the phone and have refunded me several times. My current issue is I put a data warning on and it got to within 10% of allowance and the phone stopped working, the cure after many phone calls was to top it up. Meh, it's free what do I expect?

25 May 17#66
Your BOTH right!.
Those that have already ordered this freebie 200MB 321 SIM from Three will still get their 200MB per Month freebie, hehehe.
But those that currently have NOT ordered one/any already again, won't ...

Again, your BOTH correct, hehehe.
I'm sure both of you have both received texts and/or phone calls via your respective Network 3 SIM Cards right?, that, in case your not aware already, was a 'chargeable event' (not to you perhaps?, as the 'sender' paid for their relevant 'events' on your behalf), hence for the last 18+ months you didn't need to pay diddilly for anything? (someone did, just not you ... )
