Quite a lot of young people are interested but a lot are apathetic and disillusioned - anything to encourage a pattern of voting is a good thing in my opinion so heat added! (Just hope they make informed choices when they put their X on the ballot paper)

In my opinion all leisure based business has been struggling under the austerity ruling. Because people have less money, they make cuts to their spending and the first thing people cut out is non essential things like days out? It could be the reason. Or maybe they are just descent human beings that are sick of paying their fair share in taxes while a lot of other multinational companies don't. I guess its open to various speculation.

Great idea, good on Thorpe Park for taking the initiative to run such a scheme.
Not sure this will help Corbyn though. A lot of young people lean to the left, but not that far left. Think there will be a lot of spoiled ballots... Which in my opinion is better than them voting on the xenophobic scaremongering scourge that is UKIP. :wink:
But at least they will be getting involved, which is a step in the right direction. Hopefully one day there will be someone worth voting for.

For your information, the few left in that category will still vote Ukip. However, the vast majority of the 4 million Ukip votes from the last General Election this time around will be going Tory, even if they hate and loathe Theresa May and the Tories.
Why?
We want Brexit done and dusted, and OUT of the f. EU debacle that is the masses of bureaucrats who feed on the gravy train in Brussels. That also includes the greedy Kinnocks who have taken over £10million for themselves over the years, a family this country basically told to FO in April 1992. Neil did, took his family, and jumped on the EU gravy train. Good RIDDANCE to the EU. Love Europe!

Yep, the oldies have ruined Britain for the next 20 or so years and made us irrelevant in an increasingly globalised economy. Every generation has their day, sadly the younger generation have to live with such a barking mad result for the next few years. However, I'm sure the whole EU question will come up again in the future. When that day comes I can pretty much predict the outcome. :wink:

Impossible to know, though, isn't it? If they don't vote, politicians will assume they're never going to, and not bother tailoring policies towards them. If they were to register, turn up, and spoil their ballot papers, then at least the politicians would know it's worth trying to do stuff that these people might approve of.
Don't vote, don't complain that politicians are all useless. Of course they will be (for you) if they don't think you'll ever vote for them.

Went last weekend and had a good time but be aware that the park is plagued by rides being constantly suspended due to various glitches with their sensors. The Ghost Train is particularly affected by this, being mostly unavailable for the two days we were there. Food and drinks are fairly pricey and the park needs a bit of TLC in terms of cleaning and painting as it looks a bit dated.
