With a cutting length of 49cm and 520W of power, this electric hedge trimmer from Tesco makes light work of overgrown hedges. A 6m cable gives you plenty of range when you need to cut back overgrown hedges.
For safety, an automatic cut out switches off the hedge trimmer once the trigger is released.

You'd probably have to be lying down on the job...

Excellent at cutting through its own cable, but possibly not so good with heavy shrubbery.

yes, the wifes cut through ours twice leaving a 2 ft long cable.
decent though for ocassional use. cuts through quite thick bush branches. only (small) problems - very rough on the hands for long periods (whitefinger type vibration) and it has a really weird smell when its running, very oil/creosote smell.

Great price. I would worry about the plastic handle on this though as it's very likely to snap if you use it for anything other than a light hedge/bush. That said for £22.50 it's a bargain.

I have just bought this as the old one we had the wife did the exact same except she cut it off at less than a meter the donut.
