Not sure if serious. What do you think all the T7 tournaments of the past months have been played on? How often do you see people lugging PC's to weekly meet ups and tournaments? Clearly you don't know anything about the FGC.

Ordered this for £32 (as a gift), that's the price you pay for waiting for a good community feedback but probably worth it.

Not long to go now. Hopefully CDKeys ship the codes in the next 24hrs as I need plenty of time to pre-load.
Looks like the Denuvo announcement has prompted a hefty price increase too! Currently £30.99

I don't usually preorder games but I know I'll get my moneys worth with Tekken 7 so preordered from psn store.

well never disappointed me. The other games you mentioned I don't agree with. Also from what I have seen of tekken 7 I will almost definitely be happy with it. I didn't feel the same with any of the other games you mentioned and didn't preorder any. (I did buy diablo 3 and all the batman games and enjoyed them)

A fighting game plummeting in price before it's even launched... If that doesn't set off alarm bells then I don't know what will. No one should pre-order this. Remember the last two big fighting game releases? Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat? Both bombs. MK was £5 within a couple of months of launch. Wait until reviews come out.

Do you mean that in general or just for PC? I mean fighting games nowadays are very niche. I predict only the diehard Tekken fans are going to buy it but I'm still getting it because Tekken is always fun and I need another fighting game as the only fighting game worth playing on PS4 is currently USF4 which I have been playing since 2015. Just over 2 weeks left.

ohh...now that right there is a terrible blow to any ps4 fanboy....lol
"Harada: There’s a lot of firsts for the series – not only being on PC, but using the Unreal Engine 4. It’s also the first time we’ve not only taken the game to the PC platform, but also developed based on the PC. What that means is that Tekken, up until now, has always been built on the PlayStation architecture as the lead platform, and it was coded for that platform. But this is the first time we've coded on PC, and released that to arcades and consoles"

this is the first time a tekken game is getting a port on the pc, so things will be different from now on...the only one that did get a release was street fighter x tekken
It's not a port. The arcade build is on PC architecture. The consoles are getting the port.
Nope. Arcade version is always based on PS console code.

also one important factor is that modders will get their hands on the pc version. so we can expect custom models and skins etc.

but then again street fighter 5 was a ps4 exclusive for the consoles...look how that turned out...one of the **** series in street fighter i have ever played...

Interesting how sales have been decreasing for Tekken ever since it stopped being exclusive.

xbox 360 killed ps3 because of the vast and much better catalog of games it was releasing.
eloo
14 May 17#30
Last gen alot of that happened because PS3 was a huge misstep which caused alot of devs to go multi-platform otherwise it would've been still on the same platform but this gen they're doing better but the deals from before is already made
BigP50000
14 May 17#29
lol should have been a ps4 exclusive? xbox360 killed that deal off 7 years ago....

is this as good as MK? i have never played any of the tekken games. do you have gore like in MK or magic hit sparkles like in Street Fighter an?
BigOrkWaaagh to Karmazyn
14 May 171#28
No gore. There's more depth to the fighting system of Tekken than MK, and the characters are more diverse. Gittin' gud will take longer, although they're both incredible games.

I have never heard of pc owners begging for cross play in this though I don't doubt it happens, but I don't doubt console has more players at same time theres reason for this and its fanboyism and brainwashing.
Considering even now I can get people playing SF4 so much for dead lobbies on old games.
MWR dead on arrival? Thats strange I had it at launch and had no problems getting a game.
Don't make fanboy comments and hide them behind half or incomplete truths.
By the way games like SFXT did bad due to GWFL DRM rather than install base.
darkspace100
14 May 17#26
How good did SFXT do on PC? Expect this to do even worse.

^^^ you guys may be right but just to let you know Tekken has never seen a release on PC before so even the ones that play pc had to go out and buy a console version of it and stuck with it, but this year its getting released on pc same day as consoles so hopefully the community on the pc will be liver than usual, trust me this is going to be huge for the pc and you will see the numbers rise in th lobby but ofc its the kids who have no clue about pc gaming that will make the console versions a bit liver as usual
darkspace100 to BigP50000
14 May 17#25
Doubt it. Its not worth risking and the graphics on PS4 version look very good. Even the Xbox version won't do great. If anything I think it should have been PS4 exclusive as the other versions are a waste of resources that could have been used elsewhere.

If you want empty lobbies with no one playing then go ahead and buy the PC version. I guarantee you within weeks or even on release day it will be dead on arrival. Don't blame the Tekken community for playing on a system it was basically made for. This reminds me of how COD infinite warfare and MWR were literally dead on arrival on PC and Titanfall 2 did awful as well.
Also fighting games in general are a niche genre even on PS4 on most fighting games are completely dead. This is why some PC owners beg for cross play in games such as fighting games because no point in all those graphics if theres no one to play with.

You mean forced install base, rather than the community. I own every Tekken game since the 1st but I don't use the PS4, so why aren't I part of the community? I play games on whatever I feel like, I did it with Tekken 6, Super Street Fighter 2 HD, Call Of Duty games, basically I game on whats available, if I can't find a game on one I try another console, if I don't feel like playing on PC I play on console.
So if all that is available is one console of course that will be the "community"
Just like what do you think people take to LAN gaming events, do they take a console even if it has identical games to console versions, or do they take pcs? So its nothing to do with size lan gamers for example often use mini pcs (which outdo power wise the consoles)
For PS4 Pro owners it's confirmed 1080p 60fps etc confirmed by Harada They have to because the fighting scene on PC is very low compared to consoles, that why you see alot of PC players desperately wanting Cross-play in Tekken 7 with consoles all the time since this won't have Cross-play.

Really looking forward to this. Think I'll get it on pc as it will look better and I can take my laptop to work to play at lunch. Just gotta figure out how to use my PS3 controller with my PC as I don't like the ps4 controller for fighting games

You're missing the point. The community uses PS4 and this is where the majority of the player base will be. Way more important than fidelity.

Tekken 7 is built on PC architecture. It was on PS in the past but that is no longer the case. - http://www.pcgamer.com/tekken-7-director-on-developing-for-pc-and-competing-in-a-brave-new-esports-world/
