The price now shows as £93, but when you add it to your cart it drops to £63....

Anyone able to compare this to the Nexus 2013? My Nexus is now experiencing some screen issues & I'm looking for a new replacement, but I'm struggling to find anything at a reasonable price that actually rivals it, most new ones seem underpowered & quite bulky in comparison.

I recently sold my Nexus 7 2013 after more than three years of use. It was still in amazing condition and was fast, an amazing tablet!

The one on Amazon(third party chinese seller Fudisi) has the older Z8300 processor, but as you say people may prefer to get via there.

What's the problems ordering from gearbest? Does it come from another country or do you have to pay tax on it when it arrives?

All of that plus warranty is non - existent. I did but a few things and I would still buy from them. Just take it as you have no warranty.

I've bought multiple tablets and phones from GearBest, BangGood, FocalPrice etc. And not once have I paid any duties or carrier fees. My advice would be not to go for expedited post and it usually gets through. Of course, this is not guaranteed but you have to weigh up the pros of the low initial cost with the other risks.

I've got the same CPU in my Onda v80 plus and it's horribly slow but I think a lot of this is down to having slow eMMC.

The next step up in processors is to go for the Xiaomi Mipad 2 with the Z8500, twice the price and not big jump performance wise.

SD slot too. Wonder how this fairs against the Lenovo Tab 3 (£99 in another deal)? I hear the sound on that isn't good and the wifi has a habit of disconnecting.

Good price for good spec. I don't really like Windows platform though. Anyone know of a good 8 inch android tablet?

LG G pad 8.3 V500, very good screen, light weight, take micro sd too.
Has to be 8.3 V500, do not mistaken with 8.0 or others versions, the other version are worse.
Samsung Tab S1 or S2 are also good. But they are way more expensive, not worth it. If to pay the price of Tab S, you would be better to get the G pad 8.3

Will this be a sufficient upgrade to my Hudl2?
£65 is a great price, but I need something that is going to work as well.

The CPU is very similar, but the GPU is over twice as performance. Much higher screen res too. Also runs both Windows & Android, so it'll be and upgrade depending on what you use it for.

This looks the best price and decent reviews too. Good spot. Gearbest not everyone's cup of tea on hukd so could go either way on heat front.
