If you love the original and retro games, then you'll probably like it. If you're a millennial then probably not lol

I don't use the dpad enough to tell, I was just trying to give an unbiased comparison of the controllers overall. I know many have complained about it being an issue for them with quick inventory selection on Breath of the Wild. Those Hori pads were supposed to be released at launch with the system, was going to pick one up but they seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth 2 weeks after being listed so I assumed that they had scrapped the product.
Will certainly be keeping my eye out for reviews. That controller was listed on GAME's site at £26.99 in case you were wondering.

This controller looks quite interesting especially seeing as you can switch (pun-intended) the dpad out.
Does it make a difference if there isn't a pivot, like do you mis-input frequently?

I'm considering picking up 2 of the SNES style pads myself. From what I've seen, the dpad doesn't feel at nice as the pro controller but it is a traditional dpad in the sense that it works on a pivot (meaning you can't hit left and right at the same time like you can on the official pad).
For fighting games/arcade ports specifically the 8bitdo SNES pad is likely the best option for competitive play on Switch right now (seeing how no fight/arcade stick's are available at this time).

Didn't know that, the price of the 8bitdo controllers compared to the pro controller means that you can have nearly 3 for the price of the ninty one, so enough to share. Can't wait for that splatoon one though, glad I waited!

Now that you can use the 8bitdo controllers this has become a must buy for me but holding off until £10-£20.

Just keep in mind that you can't mix and match 8bitdo controllers with official Pro controllers right now. The official controllers seemingly try to overwrite the paired third party pads and cause the system to crash.
Honestly its great. It has enough changes from hd remix to make it worth it. Its great to play with ild style backgrounds and sprites. Yea ok its slightly faster than turbo 1 and not turbo 3. But online is decent. Had some great matches. Also u can select what stage u fight on and also play as edited colours. Yea price is steep. I agree on that. But if u love sf2, then its great game.

Eurogamer didn't think too much of the asking price either..
This game was all about timing back in the day, looks like this player has it bang on to the tick, wasn't easy to time a few kicks in a row without getting sonic boomed or yoga flamed up.

There's a £6 off a £15 spend tomorrow in store too so that could make it cheaper.

In another few years time? On the next nintendo console? For the same price? A re-release with breath of the wild yet again?
