It’s 1968 and after years of combat in Vietnam, Lincoln Clay knows this truth: family isn’t who you’re born with, it’s who you die for. Now back home in New Bordeaux, Lincoln is set on escaping a criminal past. But when his surrogate family, the black mob, is betrayed and wiped out by the Italian Mafia, Lincoln builds a new family on the ashes of the old and blazes a path of military-grade revenge through those responsible. Intense gun fights, visceral hand-to-hand combat, white knuckle driving and street smarts will all be needed. But with the right crew, tough decisions and some dirty hands, it’s possible to make it to the top of the city's underworld.
NEW BORDEAUX, A REIMAGINED 1968 NEW ORLEANS
A vast, diverse and seedy open world ruled by the mob and corrupt officials and richly detailed with the sights, sounds and emotionally-charged social atmosphere of the era.
AN UNINTENDED AND LETHAL ANTI-HERO:
Be Lincoln Clay, an orphan and Vietnam veteran hell bent on revenge against the Italian Mafia for the brutal slaughter of the black mob, the closest thing to family he’s ever had.
REVENGE YOUR WAY:
Choose your own personal play-style, from brute force and blazing guns to stalk-and-kill tactics as you use Lincoln’s military training and gathered intel to tear down the Italian Mafia.
A NEW FAMILY ON THE ASHES OF THE OLD:
Build a new criminal empire in your own unique way by deciding which of your lieutenants you reward, and which you betray…
Is this worth getting at this price for PC? or is it still not worth it?

if you liked Mafia 1 / 2 then definitely. Even if not or you're new to the franchise I'd say it's still worth a playthrough.

Anyone know if this works in 21:9? I've a 3440x1440 monitor. Loved Mafia 2, despite the terrible review scores!

This is a mafia game in name only. Yes, the writing is very good, it it's an atrocious port than runs terribly. Worse still, it's full of bugs and has some of the lowest texture/poly models in a game this generation.
It doesn't hold a candle to the first 2 mafia games.... but, at this price, it's worth a punt. Just go in forewarned.

Can confirm it does run 21:9 I also have 3440x1440
although I think it is 720p upscale but it does add the extra to the sides correctly.

Is it just me, or is the HUKD mobile app just complete crap?
It may be because I just miss the luxury of being able to open up every deal I'm interested in a new tab before viewing the actual deal. Strange, but it's a habit now. No going back.

Enjoyed the 2nd, never played the first. This was a huge disappointment! Didn't feel like a mafia game. My opinion, you'll be disappointed!

i5 7600K and GTX 1060 can't even run this smoothly due to the terrible port.

yeah runs awful on pc. lucky I've got it on xbox and ps4. try the demo on steam. i did and even a 720p it ran like ****. I've got a modest i5 alienware alpha, but even that runs gtav without issues @1080p.

Was put off by reviews especially on pc about performance but the game ran great for me! Pirated the game to see how well it played and then purchased a few hours in
EDIT: GTX 1080+i7 7700k. 1440P 70fps outdoors and indoors got up to 100.

In my experience an i7 was needed to play this game at 60fps. The i5 6500 I had just couldn't reach 60.
Enjoyed the game though. I liked the story and combat.

Definitely worth it at this price.
I enjoyed it when I played and finished it at release, it pales in comparison to Mafia 1 & Mafia 2 but it's a decent game nonetheless

Works fine on my AMD 8320 and RX 470 8gb @60fps 1080p. Turned a couple of settings down a notch but couldn't notice the difference visually.

Cheers! Torn on whether to get it now though. enjoying it? How does it run? I've heard with a 1080 you need to use low settings at 3440x1440..... and I've only got an R390.

So i've been put off buying this due the people constantly moaning about performance issues. Tried the demo... Bought the game AND it came with the kickback DLC so i'm guessing they're selling the £32.99 version @£6.99 after it went OOS
Yeah, it runs @46-60fps in my 4670K/GTX 760. Thats enough for me. Game reminds me of the original MGS on the PS1, sneakin abart brakin necks. Just got to find a cardboard box to hide in now..... I like the way that people on Steam moan that it brings nothing new, graphics aint all that etc, get a life you jaded ****s. Me, im just going to enjoy it for what it is.
