With any Amazon Warehouse deal, you have a 30 Day Return option. If you don't like the description or there is an issue, then it can go back. I have had to send back Sandisk cards that were fake, and Wifi Remote power sockets that are defective.
The products come with a full manufacturer warranty.
My TV arrived next day, despite asking for it to be delivered Monday. It's setup, updated, and working well.

1 year warranty from Amazon. This debate has been had many times on here and people, including myself, have verified with Amazon that all warehouse items come with a year warranty from Amazon.

Latest software update mid April has helped. Turning off youview, which isn't very good anyways, helps. There are some further tweaks in the settings too. Best thing with Android is the availability of apps, including Kodi.

Had the 43 inch version but took it back after a week. The remote is cheap and fiddly to use. The YouView is a proper dogs breakfast but if you switch it off it disables some of the catchup apps and you have to rescan to get them back

Remember, this TV has an IPS screen so less contrast compared to an LCD with a VA screen but much wider viewing angles and better colours.

I've updated the software but no change.
Can't say I've disabled the two features you mention. I'll try later....are they easy to find in the menus?
Thanks for the suggestions BTW

AWFUL TV... it pains me to say that as Ive been a huge fan of SONY TVs for ever. Ive owned this TV for 3 months and it has slowly driven me insane.
I'm on my second now and asking John Lewis to take it back. Painfully slow, constantly freezes, crashes and non responsive.
The picture quality is awesome and 4K gaming looks unreal but the operating system is a complete joke. Purchase at your peril!

Agreed, I still have mine, and happy to get a newer version. If it was not good, I would not be buying another.

I have the previous year (2015) model, and it's been 100% fine with Updates and operations, no issues at all.
I needed a new TV for an extension we are building, so I ordered it this morning. RS would not price match because Amazon don't sell it with a 5 year warranty. As only 2% of Sony TV's get repaired under 5 years of age according to Which, I'll shoot for Amazon. :-)

truly awful software in this TV. the Sony forums for this TV are rammed with people complaining about issues such as sluggish epg, rebooting on a almost daily basis, remote control issues. excellent picture but don't bother with it. sony have been aware of the issues since the TV came out but they choose to ignore them.

Will the Youview on this pick up the extra channels that BTTV subscribers get? Or, as I suspect, you only get the regular channels?
I had discounted Sony as I hate their android implementation, however this is a great price. This, the M7000 for £650 or the LG 55uh850 for £725????? Hmmmm
sneakybifta to N1Andy
12 May 17#21
No it won't pick up the BT channels.
Don't punish yourself with Sony Android TV. I did for nearly a year, and two replacements.
Surprised myself that I'm much happier with a Samsung Tizen one. Much faster, way snappier, never crashes, much simpler menu system that I didn't think I'd prefer but I really do.
Not missing Google Cast, Youtube Netflix Plex all support casting regardless.

I'm there between this and the Hisense H55M7000 for £679 and 6 year warranty at RS. The Hinsense seems to have a VA panel, and since viewing angle shouldn't be much of an issue on my room that's probably an advantage.
I'm not overly worried about smart tv apps (I use a chromecast), but I believe that Sony is the winner there.
Have had 2 of these, the slowest piece of rubbish ever.

I've got the 9305 and like the operating system. It's not as quick and easy as LG but I like the built in youview and chromecast. It's just updated itself to marshmallow which has tidied things up a bit
