I went through three of these before getting a refund. Buttons (especially volume up) would randomly press and hold down. And the sound quality was crap. Get what you pay for. Definitely not worth full price and too much hassle even at that price IMHO

Just got mine today, I have a 2 monitor setup for work and gaming. My right monitor is a large 27" with crappy built in speakers. So watching things on it like YouTube/kodi, the sound feels a tad too far to the right, while the new sound bar has raised my smaller 23" (144hz gaming monitor) to a nicer height, and the sound is much more centred.
I won't complain over the quality, it's a lot better than expected for under £15 delivered.

By the way, that is op. This was a decent but of kit. An improvement on my tvs speakers. It is certainly louder!
The speaker is larger than I expected, and I'm currently balancing my TV on top of it - it's like the worse game of jenga
Unit looks solid though, well worth a tenner

Not usually one for cheapo sound bars but I have a Tesco technika 37 inch tv in a spare room which has without a doubt THE worst sound ever. This will no doubt be an improvement on that. Looking at videos on it it certainly sounds better than the cheapo goodmans/polaroid ones and is cheaper. Heat.

I've got a cheapo Goodman Soundbar + Subwoofer combo and i am amazed by the sound of it. May be i got lucky. it was about an year ago £25 on Tesco deals.

Bought one of these a while back when it was on offer previously. It's definitely not bad for the money. It's been ideal for a smaller TV in a bedroom. It looks more expensive than it is and it has lasted well. Tempted to buy another.

Thanks OP and also the above ebay tip. The ebay deal also has a better delivery deal, assuming dispatch is reasonably prompt. I'm sure I've looked at these before, but didn't buy. Bought this time, bargain...

Originally this post was under 'Entertainment' and I nodded to myself in recognition of OP's great insight into HUKD social dynamics. The audiovisual category tend to attract the audiophiles and Sond, like Onkyo, is pretty much unknown. Better to go with Sony.

Yes. But there are better speakers for that purpose. this is a big flat thing to sit under a TV.

23 May 17#12
So it Doesn't need to be plugged into the TV to work ? I can just use it as a bluetooth speaker away from the tv ?

23 May 17#8
Sorry if this is a silly question, but could this just be used as Bluetooth speaker or does it need to be plugged into the TV to work ? I was thinking if possible to put it up high in the kitchen and stream music from my phone via bluetooth ?

It has bluetooth for this reason, using bluetooth from a TV will cause a lipsync issue.
