Every time I see these deals I get tempted. My hatch is currently only 60x40cm though, want a new proper hatch too at some point but seems too much hassle at the moment to sort it out.

it's not £70 it's £90 inc delivery. I have just bought the same one in Amazon warehouse deal (open box) for £85 I'll be fitting it Wednesday. Opted over the one posted here as it also included the hatch

I have one of these but be warned it will not fit between rafters if they are on a standard pitch (600mm). Don't modify your rafters to make in fit unless you know exactly what you are doing.

this looks a lot like the one i used to use, good ladder but i wouldn't bother putting the hand rail on if i were you, it'll slowly come loose

I agree about the handrail, I didn't bother putting it on as I didn't see any point and I foresaw it getting in the way when moving large items up and down the ladder.

lidl/aldi got a loft ladder like this for the same price but it was very difficult to install. far too competant for my liking it had like 20 steps no way did i attempt that in the end.
how easy or difficult is this ladder to install?

This looks identical to one I bought on Amazon a couple of months ago. Instructions were horrendous, but figured it out myself.
I found the trickiest part was to find the dimensions for the hole you wanted it to fit rather than the outer dimensions of the hatch!

very light and strong very easy to fit only 4 screws.
went with a Fakro collapsable wooden ladder, yes it cost £119 but believe me it's a pleasure to use in comparison to these things. If budget permits then go for a wooden one.

With these ladders do you need to install a seperate loft board. Don't they come with one. How easy it is to fit. Thanks

Can somebody advise if these ladders would be suitable to be attached to a wall (prior to entering the hatch), and these arent the usual ones that are attached to the joists INSIDE the loft.
