Cut off tool & spray gun appear to be on eBay as well, no sign of the drill though. Good price for 'not too bad' air tools.

Ordered the drill, kit and cutoff tool for collection from a local store (the kit is being ordered in by the looks). I don't have a compressor, damned HUKD costing me money!

got the kit on ebay, thanks OP and caverncity. Any good deals around for a compressor?

Just received 2 phone calls to tell me my orders are unavailable, must be a stock error....hmmm.
Seems to be rather common with these Halfords deals.

From what I gather, the problem is that the store's actual stock will be adrift by a couple of items due to shoplifting or faulty items being exchanged without the store processing it properly. The other possibility is the staff noticing the deal and putting yours aside for their friends and lying saying they are OOS.

great deal, got a compressor but dont do any work on cars, can these tools be used around the house?

Kit is fabulous value. Got all the tools already, otherwise I'd be seriously tempted. Be aware that you'll probably want to buy quick-release connectors for each tool which will bump the cost rather.
I don't have an air drill. Should I? Is there anything an air drill will do that my 18V DeWalt cordless won't do?
A resounding NO.....but you know its a deal you should take advantage of!

I'd like to believe it's the first, though not condoning shoplifting, but I do have my suspicions about the second. I've noticed on more than one occasion the member of staff's eyes light up when they see the price, and after serving me rapidly toddle away to the relevant isle...

with the paint sprayer, where do you get the paint to put in it?
themorgatron to ant2323
16 May 17#19
You can use almost any paints in the sprayer, often they will just need thinning slightly with white spirit/water etc. Every paint I've used has sprayed fine, even if it doesn't mention it can be sprayed. This also includes things like varnish.

What are you spraying? If you are talking about automotive paints, then a local car paint store is your best bet. You can order online from places like Metalflake or Paints4u. It is not considered safe to spray 2k paints at home without an air fed mask, so you will be limited in the paint you can use - which is why you are better going to a local store for advice.

Thanks OP, hose only available in three stores nowhere near me, but manage to reserve the others. Let's hope Halfords don't cancel when the staff find out the price.

Halfords deals are getting to be like Tesco ones for me, nothing in any store within 100 miles and not available for delivery.

You want to be carful with what you are spraying. Varnishes are quite damaging and so you should have a forced air breathing system. And if you plan on using 2 pack then you better have a booth too.

This happens all the time with me. Last time they actually told me on the phone 'sorry the assistant manager just bought the last one'.
BTW, for those looking for quick release connectors for air tools, Machine Mart are cheap for them if you have a branch near you.

Picked up mine yesterday, all times present. They are obviously built to a price but decent value. The air hose in the kit looks particularly cheap, unfortunately nowhere close had the other one.

Agreed about the hose...nothing like the robust looking item in the photo. But for a fiver pretty good.

The one in the £10 5-piece kit was transparent PVC, was the separately sold one like that too? I'd be a little annoyed at having paid £5 for the one in the kit.

Cheap hose multiple uses even if the ends are cut off.
