Not a bad price right now, although there is a free camera promo on at the moment that sweetens it even more as well as £15 off the machine with free delivery

Product Overview With a 7kg capacity, this Samsung washing machine is perfect for medium sized households. Samsung’s innovative AddWash door is really special – it lets you add clothes to the drum after the cycle has started, so it’s perfect for when you find a pesky lone sock on the stairs. The BubbleSoak setting bathes your laundry in bubbles before the cycle starts, which loosens stubborn marks whilst remaining gentle on fabrics. By premixing detergent and water before the cycle starts, ecoBubble technology creates a layer of foam that delivers brilliant cleaning at low temperatures.

I would imagine it would be better as hoovering your clothes isn't as effective as washing them.

Only 7kg for £384. Very low capacity for washing machine

It's not really low capacity, it's fairly normal. You've just been spoiled with 8Kg + machines, 7Kg is still a lot of clothes / towels etc.

When you say 'very low', you mean, 'slightly low' compared to some other machines and 'exactly the same' as some others right?

I bought this last week, and personally think it's a lot better than the Hoover it replaced, which died after less than 2 years use! I was happy to pay more for the 5 years manufacturers warranty (10 years on the motor).
Had confirmation I was getting a camera from Samsung too, plus for a years interest free credit too.

The ball bearing breaks very fast in low capacity machines. I know from personal experience. You will definitely need the warranty.

Nothing wrong with my 7KG Bosch machine, Used daily for last 2+ years and the bearings are still fine.

Can someone explain why AddWash is anything more than a complete gimmick (which makes the machine look fugly into the bargain)? Even my several-years-old washer uses so little water on most programmes that it lets you open the door at any time. The only exception is for the hottest programmes, and who uses those often anyway?

Yeah I'd say its pretty much a gimmick. I think we've all had that moment where we suddenly find something we'd forgotten to put in and wish we could quickly add it, and I must admit when I first saw them advertised I thought it was a cool feature, but I can't imagine there would be many occasions where I'd use it and that sock I dropped while loading can always wait until the next wash. Still, its fine just not something I'd ever pay extra for.

And I've had a 6kg Bosch since long before Comet closed (at least 5 years I think) and still going strong after using roughly alternate days since new. I'm always amazed by people who seem to think a couple of years is all they expect from a washing machine. There again some people seem to be able to break things in no time: often the state of their car is a clue!
