Anybody have any idea when it's actually released?

More like the crying game. It will be old tech by the time they decide to send these out. It is almost 2 months since this deal was posted :astonished:

Came back here as I just rembered about this order. I can't believe that they still don't have any in stock. I can play the waiting game.

Guess I am going to have to cancel. The wait is just ridiculous at this stage.

Even though I had read the full thread, I re-read it and there isn't anything on this having been available since last year.
It's exactly the same card, it's EVO+.
The only difference I can see is that the pre-order card doesn't come with the SD adapter, but the card that is available (and has been so for about a year!) does!! So maybe even explains why the price is bit lower?!

What is the story with these? It has been nearly 2 week since I ordered. I presumed pre-order meant a couple of days from stock?

Anyone know when these are likely to ship, says pre-order but they have been around since 2016 apparently...

How is this a pre-order item (it says product not yet launched), when the card was launched last year and it's being sold on Amazon itself through multiple sellers (including amazon.co.uk) and it has over 200 user/buyer reviews?!
Dog slow Evo card for £14, or much faster Evo+ card for £15.
Only you would buy the dog slow card X)

Anyone know roughly when these are expected to ship?

Always directly from amazon. The 1 or 2 times I bought from a 3rd party seller got few problems with items not even being received.
fr3dy77_sp33d
19 May 17#33
that's the problem you see. you should have looked for BARGAIN item :). joking aside, that's the rule of the jungle on electronic devices. you pay premium for the latest tech. question is do you really need the latest one? if you look for 256 gb sd card nowadays, you also pay high premium for that
But are you buying from Amazon or an Amazon seller ? many people get this mixed up to, some Sellers will try there luck with fakes even on Amazon and reviews are for all sellers not just Amazon themselves, you have to really do you homework before buying any Sd cards.

Im not sure what your point is, but mine is 'U3 Class 10' is higher performance than the standard Class 10 (which is U1 class 10).
So what's your point?

had 3 SanDisk fail over the years. Not a single Samsung.
Not suitable Adoptable Storage for HTC 10 and other Android phones due to slow write speeds. But overall okay and a good piece for regular portable storage device. Heat added.

Is the write speed on this fast enough for a HD dashcam?

I have also had a faulty sammy (32gb) microsd card in the past. It was 2 years old when it died. It was replaced by Amazon no questions asked. The loss of the data on it was a bit hard though. But it wouldn't stop me from buying sammy cards again. And only I have a 64gb and 128gb card sitting here doing nothing at the moment, I would've ordered a couple of these myself. Nice spot, OP.

Can this be added to a laptop in the SD slot as permanent storage?

Had one of these ordered since the 14th but just says 'we'll let you know' as far as delivery goes..
Not voted but my personal opinion is that Samsung are awful for their warrenties. Just have a search around the numerous review sites.

Samsung is definitely the mainstream king for computers and phones. Their sustained write speeds are beaten by some others (including Sandisk) but they have far better random writes. Sustained writes are great for cameras, video and audio recording, but 90MB/s + cards with poor random writes can be a disaster for apps, OS, etc.
As far as these applications go the cards to get are basically these (in very rapidly descending order of quality):
Samsung Evo Pro Samsung Evo+ Sandisk Extreme Samsung Evo
I haven't benched any of the new uber high end Lexar cards, but given their pedigree I wouldn't be surprised if they were optimised for high end SLRs and 4K video.
most likely fake cards that where bought from dodgy sellers, and there are tons of them around. Samsung memory cards and memory modules in general are top notch and among the very best.used by many top manufacturers.

Nothing grammatically incorrect with my sentence.
A slight pause (comma) after making the declaration that there is plenty of popcorn in this thread is fine, as is finishing a sentence with 'however'. :face_with_monocle:

At least it is legible. Some of the posts are just totally illegible, mainly written by lazy feckers who cannot be arsed. In twenty years time our language will have disappeared!!

ROTFL! You do realise that you have a comma in the middle of your sentence and a 'however' at the end of it? X)
