Was just looking for some fitness stuff for myself and didn't want to spend alot...so came across these! I think they're good value for money.

You always get pervy idiots at the gym. Especially in the shower. I can't tell you the number of times one of them is showing off mucking around while I'm trying to take pictures.

Sorry. Voted cold. Maximum weight on some of these is 100kg, which means the larger men like myself aren't really designed for a machine to keep fit. The irony..,

I think I have reduced fitness already and consequently have no need for one of these.

Nothing available for less than £55 now due to stock levels, that was popular! Nice one OP all the same.
Would you have voted hot if the machine in question did have enough resistance/weight to suit your bulging biceps?
If so, don't vote cold on something just because it doesn't suit you, when it may well suit others (like the bikes and cardio machines). Gives an unfair score doesn't it.

Machines in this price range don't provide enough resistance to keep many people fit. They're only really useful for older people or people recovering from injury.
Most people, man or woman, would probably find that they outpace these things within a couple of months of training give or take.
In which case you really are better subbing to a budget gym where you can work on all-round fitness for your £50.

Great prices, I just paid 79.99 for a basic one from Argos a few weeks back

I've had the foldable one - good basic bike that takes up less room. I bought it for £50 - used it for few months and managed to sell it on for £50 as was £80 on website!
Only reason sold it was because I started running.

Sorry to go off topic OP, just wanted to add to you last comment. Some of the people in my gym are really pervy and act like idiots.. swearing talking crudely etc.. it puts me off going when there's a group of men stood there doing nothing but ' talking'loudly and constantly glancing over when your trying to have a workout.. annoyed me so much, next time I'm going to say something to management, it seems since new year there's loads of them there like that.. and my appearances there have dwindled since new year too.. so I understand getting equipment to use at home, I would if I had the room

True i agree...I'll be honest I didnt join at first thinking I'll become a laughing stock...I was so conscious about how I looked...that's how round i was(post pregnancy)...instead I used to go for a walk but now I think even if I ever get a chance to join the gym...I would always feel more comfortable working out at my own place!

Do any of these come with a table/desk attachment? Need something to keep my doughnuts on while I exercise.

You might as well buy a real bike and attach it to your dining table...you'll be able to have a whole meal while working out

One thing I have learnt about exercise machines, is to spend a bit more money and buy professional equipment that they would have at a gym as this is where it is definitely worth spending the money. If you can't afford to buy new professional machines then you can buy second hand ones, but they are still much better quality than the cheap stuff.

That's one thing I'd also advise, IF possible, purchasing a more sturdy/probably more expensive fitness machine like a cross trainer or exercise bike makes all the difference.

A bought an own brand Tesco exercise bike a few years ago and it's still going strong. So decent enough quality, I must've done at least 10 miles on it since buying it. Useful to hang cloths on.

This is why buying a professional machine is worth the money. I bought a cheap exercise bike from argos and it lasted many years and worked fine. However, I got bored with it very quickly and stopped using it.
I now have a proform professional exercise bike which I use pretty much every day and I don't get bored with it at all. The difference in cycling a professional exercise bike and a bog standard exercise bike is significant, significant enough to determine whether you will continue to use it long term.

These are great until you go a try a proper one at your local fitness centre. Better of putting that money towards some asics running shoes. Won't be easy at first, but once you get going running can be fun.

The best kind of cardio is productive, this means walking or cycling to work or shops.
The best exercise to lose weight is with weight training.
