Always be wary of games that drop price really fast. If it dropped this much this fast, then in one month it will be half price

Terrible game, last gen graphics, awful music direction and some idiotic control choices.
Pound land Bioshock IMO.
Cheaper than the rest though.

What you on about? This game is fantastic! I see it as Bioshock+deus ex in an "alien esque" setting. This is worth every penny!

Good deal, and heat. But I'm expecting a pretty fast price drop on this one, so I think I might hold out for closer to the £20 mark.

I played the First Hour demo and it's just felt clunky, swinging the wrench just felt like it had no impact. I'm sure the full game is better, but whilst I have a shame pile, I'll wait for this to drop a little further before a purchase. Great price for a week old game though

best price at the mo, but this has bargain basement written all over it (I think you will get more enjoyment out of it at a lower price)

Boycotting this because of Zenimax bullying indie developers into changing the title of their games. Look it up if you're interested! It's pretty disgusting.

Another case of good PR and hype, but the demo was pants.

heat added, i'm enjoying it granted it takes a good few hours to get into it, once you open up more abilities etc, also the demo is not the best representation of the game and really if you are just looking for a game just to shoot things this is not the game for you even with better weapons and powers it pays to use your brain and think out of the box.
edit
but with the poor reviews from gamespot and IGN which are the only two places people look for reviews and
Is Bethesda's Review Policy seems to have badly effected sales, think i will just get rid of my copy when i can get a good price and get it again when its cheaper, which looks like it will not take long

I really liked the demo. It was scifi dishonored with guns. Not a day one purchase though.

Surprised this has such a bad rep, I've got about 20 hours played and I'm having a blast.

I played the PS4 demo and was immediately underwhelmed by the visuals and sluggish controls. They say the finished game has slight improvements in this regard but still.
Then played it on PC with a keyboard and mouse, 60FPS easily attained on the highest settings and it is a far far far better game. PC wins heavily on this, more so than usual.

i thought most reviews are saying the opposite the pc is the worst version?

Digital Foundry state the PC version is a radically improved experience over the PS4 and XB1 versions.

PC wins by miles and miles. Cryengine has never been all that on consoles probably because they have weak CPUs. But Prey runs a breeze on even a budget/old PC.

Although a Beta is incomplete it's still a good marketing opportunity. Bored after 30 minutes with no stand out stuff screaming Buy Me Buy Me. Price is good already for some reason!

Amazing how divisive this game is. There seems to be no middle ground. You either hate it or love it. But i do think the developer shot itself in the foot with a really lacklustre demo right at the beginning of the game where your character is completely undeveloped. At to that the underwhelming graphics on console and controller lag on ps4 and it is no surprise sales have been low.
I have played halfway through the demo and i do see potential here. With a better marketing campaign and some spit and polish this could have been something special.
Hot for the price.

I automatically disregard any comments that say this. All it tells me is that your biggest priority is how shiny something is. You're a magpie.

One of the best games of this generation and loving every minute so far, bargain at this price!

I think there is something in the criticism though: judging by the demo, the game lacks the kind of depth in design that we've come to expect from top-tier games these days. It's not just about it looking 'shiny', it's about it creating a believable and immersive world.
That goes for the design of the spaces you move around in, too. I've only played the demo, but the environments are pretty basic and uninspired 'box' rooms, with not much to make them interesting to navigate.
These aren't just superficial complaints, they directly affect your experience playing the game. It very much has the feel of a remastered PS3 title (again, as far as the demo goes anyway).

I agree. For the bit i played in the demo at least.
AI is one of my favourite games of all time so if the full prey game gets anywhere near that i will be very pleased.
However, to echo a couple of the comments above, this is where the relatively simplistic graphics may let it down. AI would not have given me the same frights if it werent for the super immersive atmosphere - driven by a great graphics engine. The console versions of prey are lacking a bit here. Might this damage the immersion? Im not sure.

That isn't really graphics though is it, it's set design. I agree with your comments, but "the graphics suck" isn't valid criticism in my eyes. Just childish.

I was worried about this, it isn't an issue when you get into it. Its like a comic book.
