I've been looking for a cheap SSD for the last couple of weeks to use a cache drive for my unraid server. I know it has been increasingly difficult due to the NAND shortage.
I don't know how widely available stock is but I was just able to reserve one to collect tomorrow.
I usually stick with Crucial & Samsung but this PNY SSD does include a 3 year warranty.

Back in Black Friday 2015, Amazon UK were selling Sandisk 240GB SSDs for 40 quid.... I am still waiting for prices like that before I buy SSDs again haha.

Pffft stupid currys... no delivery but they have the same one on ebay for 60 quid
Also the CS800 seems to be 60MB/s slower read & write than the CS900.

Stock @Reading. Good deal for anybody wanting to replace their C: drive with something alot faster (and moving their existing hard drive to external caddy or DVD caddy).

Found one in stock thanks! Notice they have the 240GB for about double but that seems to be the going rate for that size, whereas £35 for 120GB is good for older machines which are much more cost sensitive.

£70 for 240GB is still really good value. The same pound per GB as this deal (obviously). People looking for larger drives would surely prefer the 240GB anyway.

Some lucky ppl found some stock. Haven't been able to buy an ssd drive since they hiked up the price about a year ago. These are an absolute must in my opinion. Bought a 1tb sshd but haven't had chance to install it. Not in the same class as an ssd. So if you do manage to locate one of these .buy it.

I bought this last year same price, 7 yr old quad core now runs like a dream, super fast, very impressive, if you are still thinking about switching to SSD, stop thinking and just buy an SSD. One thing to note though during install, use a old school wired mouse, my installation kept failing at the last hurdle, i emailed PNY and they responded but could not help, in the end i watched a video on youtube which pointed out that the failure was due to the usb signal device for the mouse. Once i removed that the installation completed swiftly.

I suspect they have a achieved their aim in getting all of us looking in on their site at the limited cost of selling a minimum of the SSDs at a knock down price

Would these fit a Small Form Factor PC? I figure they would, ssd's are small right? I just havent had a small pc before and arent sure of the upgrade options
spannerzone to skarmachild

Most small form factor PC's use a standard 3.5" hard drive or a 2.5" laptop drive (which this SSD is in physical size) so you shouldn't have any problem. Often an SSD is too small and the screw holes don't match up with the older larger drives so you end up sticking it in with tape and gaffa tape.

That was Sandisk Plus 240gb.
I bought it at £40 and returned it.
I do not like the model. It was the slowest SSD I have ever used. Take me quite long to fresh install a system, not fast than a normal HDD, few times longer than any other SSD I used. I might be unlucky and had a defective item though.
is it expected to come back in stock, i put united kingdom as the location and said none available in or near united kingdom

just picked mine up, and just wanted to advise you all that this CS900 is a re-packaged CS1311 SSD. mine says CS1311 on the front of the box but on the back were the barcode is it has a sticker over the original barcode saying CS900.
i asked the staff about this and they scanned it and its on their stock file as a CS900 model, but the box front shows a different model number.

Yeah that's probably why. My SSD Plus is as fast as I expected it to be and it is leagues ahead of any HDD I have used. I would definitely buy it again.
