Haha. Same here the only hard bit was the balancing of the platform for the slide. Started at 6pm right into the night so about 4 hours. An impact driver with hex head attachment was very useful. Little one absolutely loves it worth the money. Not worth the 499 asking on amazon or plum site

Anyone know where to get a decent one that will take adult weight?

I ordered the Orang-Utan one a month or two ago for £207 from here (don't forget Quidco @ 1% - it's a free coffee).

I erected it myself, it took circa 3.5 hours I'd say but I'm not the best DIYer so could be done in less time I expect - most of the time spent is in diligence, measuring rather than fighting with it.

It's very sturdy and I can easily swing on it (70kg) alongside 2 kids <5. For <5's there would be no need IMO to concrete it, obviously for older kids swining in unison you'd need the anchors on.

For anybody wondering, I attached my gym extensions to the set easily and can do chins etc with no issue on it. We also picked up some addition accessories (trapeze/UFO swing thing) from Aldi last weekend for £5.99 that are of good quality, i'm sure they will have stock still.

We have this (got the deal last time it was on). It look me about 4 hours by myself but lots of measuring and remeasuring so as not to mess it up, and I got my wife to help lift one part of it up whilst I stood on the ladder.

The kids love it. Got a toddler swing attachment from Tesco which was only £7 so they can both play on it now. Or if my 7 year old has a friend round then we can quickly swap the toddler swing for the other regular swing seat that came with the set.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the other aldi attachments, will go look for those at the weekend!

Also I reckon the area under the platform would make a good den - with the addition of a couple of tarps staple gunned to the sides.

Any chance you could let me know what gym extensions you have and where you attached them to your swing set, or upload a photo?

I built this giant baboon set and I was thinking I'd really like to be able to do pull ups on it somewhere, but can't figure out what I would need to buy in order to do that, or where to attach it.

There's loads of stuff you can clip on easily.

Ours has just arrived today, and I like others missed out on the previous deal. Was absolutely guttered, however when it came back on again!! Was on it like a rat up drain pipe!! Can't wait to see their faces once we have "managed" to build it!

Our kids are never off it! (apart from right now when it's hammering down!)

You could make this from scratch in under four hours for about £150. It would be bigger, stronger and last longer. Not for everyone I know but a nice little project in my opinion.
