Great price for a great headset. There is no new version coming yet, hell it's not even a year old. The Oculus Rift CV2 is not due till 2019.

Good price but with e3 coming up know there will be a newer version of headset in the pipeline and these will be in the bargain bin in no time decisions decisions.....
Far point didn't score that good review even with the motion controller I'm gonna hold out a while longer but good for those that want this now

I don't mean I physically watch VR from the background.
I mean I follow VR news & such.
Appreciate the response, though.
I have a feeling there will be a tweaked PSVR announced at E3. Even if it's only an updated box, with HDR pass through.
To be honest, though, I don't like PlayStation. I've had a few issues and their "support" basically just told me to jog on. I have a Pro, and an Xbox One S. The Pro has been my goto console thus far, but Sony can jog on once I get my Scorpio on day one.
Anyway ... happy gaming, buddy!

What's that about. I've just got a Pro and already had the PSVR. Thanks

Oh wow, so I ventured online with Star Trek.
It's unbelievable.
Working together but doing your own tasks. It works incredibly well and is so much fun. I normally hate talking to people on PSN and rarely use my mic, but this is another level and obviously needed for this type of game.
I think I was lucky that I got 3 people who were well into it and played the game properly as it will only take one of you to mess up the mission.
Would have continued playing if my motion controller didn't run out of battery.
Can't wait to get back in there. It's like a Trekkies dream come true!

Looks like the bundle was listed as a mistake and now doesn't include the aim controller but they are still sending out the aim controller to people who brought the bundle. This is what a member of staff on the web chat said.

PSVR is closer to Google Cardboard than the HTC Vive. An expensive tech demo that'll be gathering dust by Christmas.

Have you tried a PSVR? If so, I am surprised you come to that conclusion, having tried all 3 that you mentioned. Obviously I agree the HTC is a better VR headset, which is reflected in the price difference.

In which case, can you explain how it's possible for HTC Vive and PSVR players to join in games together? That certainly not something possible on a phone shoved in a cardboard box.

No. It's on it's way to 1.5 million units sold, ahead of Sony's expectations. My guess is they are experimenting with bundles and price points before implementing a permanent price reduction - something they have been openly working towards.

Site seems to be back up now by says it's out of stock. Checked in store as well (London Wardour Street) and they said they can't do it because they don't have Farpoint in stock. Also said it is not with the aim controller - disc only.

OOS. After their website being offline from Midnight last night. That's a **** poor performance from game that's left me angry.

Heat from me. PSVR is awesome. Complete game changer for me - I'm having the best gaming experiences of my life! Which is a bit of a pain as I've pretty much lost interest in plan old 'flat screen' games now. Can't wait to see what the future holds.

This is a dead duck. No more AAA games will be out for this now, only really Golem that I thought looked good. So glad I sold it and got my money back on it.

Well. I'm on the fence becz of that ridiculus price tag on the console alone, still waiting for the price of camera+dildo+console to drop under £300.

Have heat for this. Great deal. Keep getting more and more tempted. Wish I'd bought another move controller pre-launch cos they were dead cheap back then.
I don't reckon there will be a new headset but HDR compatible box is something I would like/expect to see as a revision of the offering. Then again, Game rarely come in cheapest so if they're offering this, something cheaper is just around the corner surely (and yes, always will be if you wait long enough).

They may have something new, as they know MS and partners will be showing 3 or 4 headset's that will be compatible with windows PC's and Xbox in 2 weeks time at the E3 show.

Agreed.... I never normally play video games, my kids use the PS4, but now I love playing Farpoint when I can, it's so realistic, incredibly accurate with your movement.

Bloody hell, you're missing out. External footage of VR games doesn't do it justice whatsoever. It's why people watch VR reviews on YouTube and think it looks poor. The VR effect elevates the experience ten-fold. Just go and try it.

With all of these deals (both with PSVR, and Xbox One S) there simply has to be new models/bundles come E3.
I've held off of PSVR for two reasons:
1: It can't be good for the eyes.
2: Having to switch cables to view/play HDR content is ridiculous.
I enjoy spectating VR from the background, rather than from within. It intrigues me, but I haven't indulged (yet) ...
All I'm gunning for now is Scorpio.

Bundled with the Pro. Would love to see the manual for that package...explaining that the VR doesn't even work properly with the Pro unless you constantly change cables when you want to use HDR.

Agreed, no chance of a new version. But I think there might be a bundle at a discounted price. VR, move remotes and camera with a game. Or bundled with the pro maybe. Not long to E3 now.

These price drops lead me to believe that either retailers know about an upgrade on the horizon, or supply of devices is now exceeding demand. I'd wager the latter. As people have said, psvr is not even a year old.

Fantastic deal. Farpoint is great in my opinion. No way will there be an updated psvr this year. At most, Sony might release a version without the HDR pass through issue.
