Back again with another B&M air fryer deal, spotted this whilst I was wandering about. There were a fair few on the shelf, seems to be another stock clearance. As I bought the Delonghi version a couple of weeks ago I don't need another, but this might be of some help to someone on here.
This may be national so worth a look in your local store, this was in Speke B&M store. Do let me know if you find any stock, I'll upload clearer photo now too.

Fantastic price, I have always wanted one of these so I could cook Chicken Pakora, Massala Fish, Samosa, Spring Rolls, Fried Chicken and Prawn Toast. No I am not Asian but my kitchen and freezer full of Paratha, Laziza Karahi fry mix, Shan Mixed Pickle, Jam E Shirin and Rooh Afza say's otherwise!

If you listen you will hear a fan circulating the heated air around the inside of the fryer, hence the name Air Fryer, if you can not hear this fan then yours is broken. Did you read the instruction manual?

I have one and I dunno if it's me but for chips they are rubbish as you need to keep turning otherwise those on top burn. I do toss them in oil before cooking.
For food that is self basting such as chicken wings they're great.
Anything else like chips, breaded chicken or fish is poor.
The basket is small too so you can only cook for 2 people max.
If you remove the basket and look up all you see is an electric cooker ring so there is no circulation of heat, hence the charring.

Sorry if it has caused a goose chase, considering quite often B&M deals are nationwide, I wasn't to know stock has dried up or if the stock was just locally reduced, I just try my best to help people if they happen to be heading to B&M that they might keep an eye for one, if they find one great I've helped at least one, if they don't I hope they didn't go out of their way.
If someone wishes to expire the deal you're welcome to, I lament that no one else has managed to locate stock because it was a corking deal. Shame

Aye, in the north at least, a Chop Suey roll is basically a giant spring roll available in most Chinese and some English chippys (or egg roll if you are American), usually veg and bean sprouts in them. Even my high school had them on the menu sometimes.

Had one for a while now. Cooks perfectly adequately if not quite as good as the Tefal which turns the chips over as it cooks, but which suffered a number of component failures (cracked paddle, cracked lid).

Just following the crowd really " never have " " amazingly " " chicken was when cooked " And if your halogen oven was abysmal, you don't know how to use it. I live on a caravan park of over a thousand vans and most people use them and think they are great and cheap to run.
soldierboy001
30 May 17#59
I have both and find I use the halogen mostly as it takes larger portions and I don't find the finished product any different, if you use the high rack and the extender ring I find that gives the correct distance for the air to flow and stir the chips halfway through cooking. I also, whether frozen or raw potato, put the chips in a bowl with oil and stir to coat, thus giving an even coating all over. I did buy an halogen frying ring but that was useless as it puts the chips to close to the element, and yes the Phillips does have an ordinary element as you can see if you tilt back and look up the roof of the cavity.

I bought it for £60 two years ago in curry's sale. Its really good for fries, done few pork ribs as well.
Used it last night to do french fries, it's perfect for that. If you have one and use it well, then this is excellent product.

Anyone slagging this off can never of owned one, we use ours daily, cooks everything amazing, we could not believe how moist chicken was cooked in this. We even cook bacon in it. They're great, we previously has a Russell Hobbs halogen oven which was abysmal in comparison.

Great deal if you can find it. Use my air fryer quite a lot, very useful device and great results. It's more reliable than halogen's because I believe there is a standard heating element inside. I've had mine many years with no issues. Halogen's have a shorter life due to the bulb. Some air fryers may be halogen bulb based but I don't believe the Phillips is.

I have a Breville air fryer which is similar. When I first got it I thought it was rubbish and was disappointed, but when I started experimenting with a little more oil I started to like it. They obviously tell you to use the smallest amount of oil possible because they are trying to market it on its health benefits, but I find that if you add a couple of extra spoonfuls of oil it makes waaaay nicer chips and they're still a lot healthier and easier than using a deep fat frier and much safer than a chip pan.
Plus you can do things like chicken nuggets in them from frozen in a lot less time and for a lot less electricity than it would take in a "big" oven.

I have one. I can not praise it highly enough. I am a keen cook and this is a tool I use often. Much less oil much better taste and results. Brilliant steaks. Chips of course are what most people use it for. Whoever was reviewing it on YT may have not known what they are doing. If you want me to show you I have the equipment to cook and upload on YT. If they are 30 pounds and one in Cambridge then I would have another as the only fault I can aim at it is the capacity.

drnkbeer to caverncity
29 May 171#12
They were near the middle of the aisle on the middle shelf further along. Those at the top were at the 79.99 price I saw. But they were definitely labelled at £30 on the lower shelf just yesterday.
Ask a member of staff to scan those on the top shelf, if they're the same model it could be they haven't changed that SEL yet
I think they're just clearing stock, the same was £60 now £30 type label was used for my previous Delonghi deal fryer. I don't think it's a misprint.
