when it comes with the flex shaft and hanger as well this is a scorching deal for £20... do I need it hell no! I have an original Dremel, a replacement Dremel and a cheap parkside battery version, but can I resist this?? Hell NO...

Will this be any good at sharpening garden tools?

It's like a dremmel! Maybe you could sharpen your tool in the garden though.

Would the hanger and whatnot be dremel compatible? Got a dremel 3000 which iirc has a lower minimum speed (good for plastics) and some accessories so don't want to replace it.

The hanger and the attachments should fit the Dremel but I'm not sure about the flexi-shaft.

mmm this or the ozito for £21.74 and 109 accessories from homebase...(but no stand)
I've had the Aldi 'workzone' version for about 6 years now (£9.99/£12.99 back then!) 160w 35,000 max rpm. Flexible extension+stand etc. Used it on so many jobs. Even cutting off car sill sections using diamond cut off discs from eBay. Much less medival that a full blown angle grinder, especially in tight places.
The homebase one posted above looks very good as it's 170w and still 35,000rpm especially with the 3 year guarantee

Looked on here for a dremel type over the last few days, so no offers, so ordered one from Amazon. The day it arrives, this deal is posted. Gutted.
Great value at £20

I don't know what I'd use it on but I want it, what typical things do you guys use it on?

I think the title gives it away "Versatile tool for drilling, milling, engraving, polishing, cleaning, cutting and grinding"

I use mine for crafting. They are good for that. Jewellery making etc. They aren't so good for heavier jobs though.

'for' and 'on' would suggest otherwise.

Sorry miss understood your question. You obviously don't need it as you seem to manage polishing your tool by hand quite well.

You need a cheap angle grinder with a wire wheel.
It will rip the rust off the metal shed like it was butter and leave a nice shiny metal finish ready for painting.
