Thanks Op
Buy these, Or do yourself, the planet and your wallet/purse a favour and start using rechrgeable batteries.
Lidl do an intelligent charger for about £15 and packs of 4 AA or AAA for £3 can recharge them 1000 times.
Even if you only recharge them 500 times, think of the savings over the next 5 Years. Especially if yolu have children with power hungry gadgets/toys lol

I wonder what the shelf life is of these batteries?
Thanks, OP. Ordered one of each. Remember 1% Quidco for prepaid orders (not for orders you reserve online and pay for in store). Brought it down to, effectively, £9.88 for two packs, if Quidco pay out. :smirk:

Why not just get the Wilkinson 8 for 95p? that's the standard price I think so cheaper than this

If you are searching for batteries at a good/cheap price always get ALKALINE (brand is pretty irrelevant) ...many of the very cheap ones are ZINC and they don't last anywhere near as long.
Decent deal. Heat

We bought rechargeable batteries from lidl with the charger before Xmas to save money and bought extra batteries to cover ourselves
What a mistake and waste of time
Charger smells of hot plastic when charging
At least half the batteries won't fully charge
The ones that do are no good with kids toys
Probably only just good enough for a TV remote
Like your idea of rechargeable batteries but avoid cheap ones from lidl
I'd return the lot but no receipt

I am really surprised we have 3 of them in the family and loads of the batteries and 99% of the batteries are still going after over a 100 charges. If you bought them just before Xmas phone Lidl Customer services 0800 977 7766* / 0370 444 1234 and explain to them what the problem is, the charger will have a code number on it that has a date included in it, so they can tell that it is still covered by the 3 YEAR warranty. You must have been unlucky and got a duff/faulty charger which is why the batterys are not charging properly. Lidl sell/sold 2 types of rechargeable batteries its the ECO ones that are the best, same price as the other kind (which I think they no longer sell) but the ECO are as good as most of the Big brand name ones. Seriously Lidl Customer Services are very good.
