Flex player here, don't get to play much Competitive because of my studies. Only played like 20 games this season including placements. Rarely get to play DPS since people always insta-lock them and won't change if they are doing bad. Currently at very high gold, around 2460. 2500 is plat, is there an easy way to climb the ladder quickly?

Brilliant game, very addictive so I had to uninstall on Sunday. I'm not great at it (gold) but my main problem with it is toxicity - assumed it was because low rank but apparently it's all over the game. People might be better at me at putting up with it though.

GOTY is just the same as the origins editions plus 10 lootbox. Unless you want these 10 loot boxes straight away i would get this. Most likely the GOTY will be priced at the same £44.99 or higher.

Paid a fiver less via Taiwan's Origin site. It is a good, fun game that is true but not as special as people make out. Always reminds me how incredible TF2 is i.e. better and free!

Yep, Game of the Year won't have anything special as DLCs are free (Maps, characters and skins), I can only see loot boxes included.

Not really an easy way to climb. My top 5 most played characters are support so I barely get to play DPS. I'd suggest going with Zenyatta since in the lower ranks people don't make use of Lucio's speedboost or Ana's Nano as much. Zenyatta is a force to be reckoned with at all ranks, I've got 60% win ratio on Zen.
Also try and find someone to duo queue with, someone who's skills you can trust who synergizes well with what you're playing e.g (Zenyatta/Genji or Zaraya/Tracer).
Other tips I could give are never keep playing if you're on a losing streak and save some ultimates if there Mercy has Rez
