The new Mi Earphones adopts the coolest hybrid technology which is the combination of one dynamic driver and two-way balanced-armature (BA) drivers, and their relative position to each other in the housing, allowed us to develop the smallest three-way in-earphones that offer a true reference-quality sound. The balanced-armature will be handling on high frequency audio while dynamic driver will handle the low frequency audio thus providing a more 3D surround effect.

All ye folks who liked these headphones are you sure it was these or the Hybrid PRO version?

I like both, but the Pro are slightly better in my opinion - but then the price is a good percentage more.
These are still astonishingly good value for money; I think a lot of people who struggle with them, don't get a good seal in the ear (or rather, as good as it could be), and it sounds nowhere near as good as it ought to.

Currently have these, really nothing comparable at this price

These are the RHA ones I had (they also do the ones with the mic in for £5 more).
The reviews do not look that good, but looking at them they all seem to appear to be for them not lasting and not the sound quality (I was very impressed with them and nearly on par with some £100 Sure headphones I had).
I have not had any issues with them, but going by the reviews I must admit I would be dubious.
Having had those RHA I'd beg to differ. They are about on par I'd say, the xiaomi having a bit more bass and treble. The big difference though is that the xiaomi are built like tanks and the RHA, while well built just don't last as long. One side always breaks within 18 months

Ehhh they recalled them in 1997 and that was all sorted. Current-gen SUV's will flip over more quickly than an A class.

Mercedes aren't what they once were; if you want to land on your head change direction quickly in an A class!

ironic that I preferred the comfort in a
my fiesta to the A Class I had

I got some of these a while back and although they are very well made the sound quality is very average.
My RHA headphones for a little more blow them away.
They are ok for listening to iPlayer etc/making calls.

I have a pair of RHA's probably the same ones you are referring too and the sound for the price still blows me away

Best headphones I've ever had although a little fragile as I had the dreaded mono ear problem however RHA replaced without issue .
