How many watts?

5 watts RMS. Don't confuse with any that quote non-RMS watts - you can make up almost any figure you like in that case, depending on how narrow a peak you measure.

Note this is the Hive, not the Hive 2. Main difference, I think, is that the Hive 2 can act as speaker phone. In fact that may be a disadvantage - it's disconcerting when you're listening to music and receive a phone call - and you end up having to talk to the speaker rather than your phone. There may be a way to turn that feature off, but if so I don't know how.

If you're using an Android phone, then you can choose whether to use the Bluetooth speaker for just music, calls, or both. Just go to the Bluetooth settings, click on the little gear icon next to the name of your device, then you can select what you want there. Hope this helps!

Got one of these. Only pain in the butt seems to be no auto-off feature. Sounds is decent for the price though!

It's also not a measurement of loudness.
If I had £1 for every person that asked "how many watts?" When selling speakers ...well I'd have a lot of £££

Can this be connected to Amazon Alexa, anyone know?
I've tried it with my Hive 2 and Echo Dot, and it's not perfect. It seems to cut off the first half second of anything Alexa says. Music plays OK though.

Hive 2 reduced to £20 in blue and also white & gold. £49.95 in black & gold at my local Asda, Derby. Seen on Saturday night

If you've a few quid extra, I'd recommend the 'xleader soundpak' speaker on Amazon (£30) which has a similar sound to the Hive 2 but with built in radio.

(it's at your local bookshop for only 50p, hurry, selling fast (the hardback includes pictures and a free limited edition hotukdeals badge)
Once upon a time, there was a hotukdeals-er who was looking for a new keyboard
He woke one morning and clicked on his favourite website  to see if there were any, he was very exited to see what he had found, a keyboard! PERFECT, he couldn't believe his luck
It looked like a keyboard but after closer inspection he was soon saddened because the picture that was on the box that looked like a keyboard, was not, it was a wireless speaker
The hotukdeal-er still searches for a good quality mechanical keyboard to this day but still has not found one :disappointed:

Thanks, looks like a good keyboard but i don't want a full sized one, too wide
i'm using a Cooler Master Quickfire TK with Cherry MX Brown Switches at the moment, i just need another or one like it so i don't have to keep unplugging it from my pc when i want to use it on my PS4
Cheap, mechanical (i like brown) and compact (number pad chopped off) is all i want
ever heard of a usb switch/ splitter so i can keep the keyboard connected to both the pc and ps4 at the same time? i googled but didn't find anything
sorry for going on about keyboards op, i know this is a speaker deal but... it looks like one so that's close enough :stuck_out_tongue:
Edit: actually i just found a switch but it's £17 :disappointed:

sell the ps4, get a flico keybaord (hubby has one, they are nice...although not exactly cheap, around £120). Or get the cherry and a bigger desk with the ps4 cash lol

There are some even cheaper ones as well, just search Amazon for "USB sharing switch" https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MZ7XM1D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Avlfzb7V85MTX
