These work a treat, grind your own coffee then you have the choice of whatever you want and so much more flavour from fresh beans. Remember to descale your machine every 3 months. The nespresso machines are easily the best as they use a 19 bar pump most espresso machines use 15 bar (even the expensive ones). If you like latte or cappuccino I recommend one of these https://m.johnlewis.com/lavazza-milk-frother-black/p/1861603 I've had cheap and expensive machines over the years and this combination gives the best results. Hope this helps!

The Caffe Vitessa range sold on Amazon are quite nice. NOT nespresso nice but significantly better than the Aldi ones. They are £10 for 50. (Is that 20p each?)

Excuse me being clueless: are these machines compatible with third party stuff or are you locked in? Roughly how cheap can you get the coffee down to per cup if so? Worked out it costs me about 8p a cup for instant stuff, obviously these are better quality.
Also do these only make short espresso style coffee?

Yeah, I just top it up with boiling water from the kettle.

There are compatible pods available but not many are passable.. the nespresso ones are probably the best followed by Starbucks (similar price but available at supermarkets; recently on offer but finished now I think). Lidl do a much less pricey one which is ok and I think I read on here that Aldi do one too..

The cost of pods wouldn't make this a deal even if the machine were free.

Can get the bags at Doddle as well if store not nearby and drop off used capsules in a bag there as well.

I bought the £65 pixie from Amazon. ordered Sunday, estimated delivery mid June. had an email on Wednesday, arriving earlier. collecting it this afternoon... total time 6 days, not 2-3 months. ymmv.

You can ask for them in-store (they often will ask if you need some), or if you order the pods online you can request them with your order. In fact, you can request that they collect the recycling bags from your home when you place your next online order (as you'd need to have them delivered the bags with the first one). It obviously is only for their own pods though as they are working with the aluminium, etc. rather than the plastic that other brands tend to use for nespresso compatible pods.

Nespresso deals are pretty rubbish at the moment - got this and aerochino from JL before xmas for £69 and it included £75 of credit not £40
Had been hoping a similar deal would appear with aerochinno as id like another for a gift for someone

Exactly the same, looking for another for my parents

As others did, bought the Inissia with Aeroccino for £70 with £75 worth of vouchers after xmas (and the U Milk £60 Amazon deal with £60 of vouchers for the office, plus another for replacing the Inissia) - so actually paying anything for the machine feels like a con! Plus the price of pods went up about 7% recently, so the lower free credit doesn't buy as many pods as it did a month or so ago either.

Pods use 3g of packaging for every 7g of coffee.

They recycle the pods. There's a bag for collecting the used pods and the free post label to post them back.

I recycle all my pods... just drop them off at via Collect+ or at a Nespresso store. Fantastic service.

Which is great if people actually bother to do that. Bottled water containers are also recyclable very easily but take a look at how many of those end up in landfill.
