Seems very cheap for a 6GB 1060, not sure how it performs compared to other models with cooling/noise etc

Even at £212.99 it's not a bad deal, heat.

Id hazard a guess at it being a fairly loud card, but as far as I'm aware most 1060's perform about the same. Long gone are the days of super premium cards being worth the massive premiums :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh poo, its time to buy now isnt it... I kinda wanted an rx480 but I think this tips it under my £200 bracket.
I don't think i'll see a rx480 8gbs anytime soon.

Spotted this too - I have the Gigabyte 1060 and it runs most things (including VR) perfectly fine. Heat from me.

Got my Palit Jetstream last week for £155 from amazon warehouse but would probably have got this otherwise.

Why? The Pallit was a better deal than this in my opinion. Really happy with mine

Can't they be controlled within MSI afterburner?

As in would have got this if I hadn't got the Palit (if that deal hadn't existed). The Palit was a much better deal (and better spec), I've just been waiting for the GTX 1060 to hit £200 so would have got this, but I got an even better deal.

Ah right, see what you mean

Hmm.. The 3GB version is £43 less (or 20% cheaper). Just thinking 2018-2019 games at 1440p med/high spec wouldn't eat up the 3GBs.
Or wait some more...

its also 10-15% worse as it has some cuda cores disabled

I'm tempted to wait a bit longer, got a 670 and I'm only really playing Overwatch so just holding out until there's games I want to play that I can't run.
Edit: also the 3GB one also has less cores so it's not just the memory that's the difference, it's actually less powerful

Yup. Used but mine looked practically brand new. Well pleased with it.
They also had 3GB's for 130-odd

Yup, box was a bit of a mess (not ripped or anything though), with left over stickers and residue on it and the card wasn't sealed but not a mark on it (doesn't look like it's been installed) and it works fine.
