After the earlier postings from John Lewis and Tesco over the past few days for the phone Amazon have now dropped the Lunar Grey 2GB (Single Sim) version to £139.95. Full specs can be found on the website. Even camelcamel was still showing lowest price of £158.72. Realise it has been around this price a few months back but unless your Cher and 'can turn back time'!

I find the absence of a compass/magnetometer a bizarre omission, but otherwise decently cheap phone which makes the step up in price to g5 plus a difficult choice

I agree but nothing new though, the G4 didn't have one either

bit of a pain when you're trying to navigate by walking but not noticed it otherwise - priorities I guess, for me it was a cheap replacement for a broken nexus 5x (bootlooping) and taught me not to spend much on a phone in future!
The lack of NFC bothers me more but....whatever, I'm not buying a random chinese brand and I'm not spending £700+ on a samsung flagship

I believe this should have been the rrp at launch for this version of the G model. If the 3GB / dual sim model was £10 extra I'd look to purchase. Are members who have one happy with the quality of the camera?

O2 did it at this price as a 'launch special' - but it was locked to O2 (Tesco).

It's a budget phone with a budget soc. I had a go with a wileyfox swift 2 plus using the same soc. That phone seemed fine so I imagine this to be also. If it lags, I'd be looking at the RAM.

Camera has no stabilisation, unlike ipod or iphone so unless you have steady hands shots will be blurred.

I have had a G5 for a couple of months now and very few of my photos have been blurred! I also like the size of the phone, at 5" and I haven't experienced any lag at all. In fact I'm very happy with the G5 in all respects.

surely the xiomi note 4 is a better choice? or is there something I'm missing?

Failing to see how this is an upgrade from the Moto G4, unless you prefer a smaller screen?

Its got a FINGER PRINT READER.
Easier to unlock than entering a pin every time. Also a quick removable battery

For those saying the LG G3 would be a better option, would they recommend the following import (I've no idea on bands etc)... LG G3 on ebay
