Not a bad price for that size. If you want longer however, and 3 cables vs 2, I just reordered a previous purchase last night of very similar. Very hapoy indeed with them and now buying some spares to put in the car and take to work etc.
Ordered this cable and it arrived 3 weeks later. It's a quality cable and charges as quickly as the original Samsung micro USB cable that came with the phone.
Planning to order a couple more.

As long as the charge goes up while in use and you don't get the insufficient power message you are fine. Its usual for the charge to go up and down in Ampere too as the tablet or phone's background stuff affects that (Wi-Fi, Mobile data, GPS, syncing and other android stuff working away etc) even if nothing else is opened.
With my phones 1 meter cable I get around 1500mah on average, peaking at about 1850 or so tops and can drop to 700 or so if some stuff is working away in the background (more or less the same on both the Hudl and the phone). With the supposed 3A rated crap I got off ebay (1 x 6ft, 1 x 10ft) it's about 500mah peak, dropping below 100 and I get the power warning.
Ideally I'd like a 3 meter (10ft) cable for use with the Hudl, but not had luck with that so far. Thinking I might be better off getting a multi-port desktop charger to add more length and get a good 2 meter cable to work with that.

Woops, I typed in Blackberry Micro USB in the search bar and variants of it, and that came up on the search. I'll delete that.
I bought the 1m variety from the seller dsg_outlet a few weeks ago, currently using them! so they are definitely Micro USB and the "real thing" (Blackberry-branded).
Haven't tried Ampere, I'm going to have a peek at that as well.

Well you have turned me into a charging checking lunatic. Best I have seen so far on the HUDL2 is 730, but i connected it up at 81% and left it playing a movie for 30 min, and it ended up on 88% so it seems to be keeping up with demand. Charging rates seem to go all over the place though, even on my phone.

I got some long braided USB cables for Christmas and recently one overheated and damaged my Moto G's USB socket and another has overheated and broken my Wikipad tablet, so I'm a bit nervous of them now!
I've ordered some Amazon Basic USB cables which will hopefully not destroy my equipment.

The first one (1.5m) is Mini-USB, not micro.

I've been stung with cheap cables before from China (seeing as there's identical ones all over ebay from HK, China etc) so not sure whether to spring for these - would be interested to see others' comments first.
Got a bundle of white MicroUSB cables a few weeks back and hooked them up to Galaxy Charging Current - they output about half the charge my trusty Blackberry cables do! Looked like these: http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/AFQAAOSw3v5YtpGU/s-l1600.jpg Ended up giving them away.
I tend to buy Blackberry cables as they're well-made, reliable, fast and cheap.

One is to try using the Hudl with the cable in and plugged in to the wall charger. A naff cable will bring up an insufficient power to charge device message.(the Hudl is basically draining more power in use than the cable is providing). I get this with the couple I tried from ebay.
2nd method is to use the 'Ampere' app from Play. Install and run it and it measures the charge coming in, If around 1500mah or so it should be fine. If lower, at around 500mah or less it's not providing the power a 2A charger plug can put out (and that's what the Hudl needs).

Happens a lot here where people related to the company push their products on HUKD

Is this your company or you related / friends of the owner - you're pushing & marketing it well
How does HUKD stop this kind of stuff

Poundland do braided cables for £1 as well, only mention it as unless anyone has experience of these they're likely to be similar and never had issues with the ones from there.

Tronsmart 6ft cables are excellent for charging. They are fairly dear at £7.55 for three black USB cables on Amazon Prime but at least less money is wasted on cheap naff cables that won't do the job properly.
How do I tell? I've got a HUDL2 so happy to test it for you if you tell me what I'm looking for, and where to find it.

Not sure but you could test it with the Android app Galaxy Charging Current when it arrives.
Most reviews imply they support fast charging.

How are these for charging? I need a longer cable for a Hudl 2, have tried a couple from ebay (I know..) and they are crap (They look the part, seem to be well made and all, but the charge craps out at 500mah or so. Advertised as being suitable for up to 3A, lol). Using the 3ft cable that came with my phone atm to get a charge the tablet works fine with (around 1500mah or so).

Depends how old his kit goes though. Might be the old apple connector before the Lightning connectors that he needs.
