I need a new helmet, fell off bike other day on loose gravel, legs and arms are a write off but the helmet saved my good looks and meant only my chin got scratched.
Helmets work, anyone who says otherwise is a complete muppet.

lol, made me think of the Black Knight scene from Monty Python's Holy Grail. "It's just a flesh wound"!
Do they do a "Skinny Latté" helmet?? Never been keen on Expresso.
BTW, The Rozzers call them RTI's, they dont believe in Accidents, so they call them Incidents.

Great proof that you need to read between the lines: "Bicycle helmets reduce risk of serious head injury by nearly 70%, study finds" Did you land on your head on a flat surface at less than 10mph - or whatever extremely limited circumstances these helmets are supposed to protect you under? Because if not, heaven would be able to tell you that you'd have been in pretty much the same state.

Voted hot, always good to see a cheaply priced helmets, no excuse that helmets cost too much, etc
having been involved in an RTA recently, I was asked by a&e receptionists, nurses, doctors, consultants, the police and injury solicitors if i was wearing a helmet ..
The trolls will always say no need to wear one

I'll second that, I recently had a fall off my bike whilst commuting and heavens knows what state I would be in if I hadn't been wearing a helmet. Great price this and just ordered a couple for the kids.

Naive: these people all say that, because they have been conditioned into believing that they make a difference. The hard evidence that they offer significant protection in reality is extremely slim, and there is even some evidence that wearing one puts you in more danger because you instinctively take more risks and nearby motorists instinctively behave more riskily towards you because they see you as less vulnerable.
Add to that the health benefits of cycling, and if society treats you as a pariah because you don't wear a helmet, a lot of people who might benefit from cycling will not.
Go to the Netherlands and hardly anyone wears one.
Unfortunately these arguments are subtle - it's far easier to comprehend that wearing a helmet must be a good thing cos it's a lump of polystyrene on your head, and if you hadn't worn it when you had an accident, you'd have been worse off. Add to that, the bicycle helmet industry which owes its existence to people buying its products.
Don't call me a troll - I wear one too. Please don't condemn people who don't - the benefits of cycling far outweigh the risks, whether wearing a helmet or not. Leave it up to the individual.
