Most 1kg tubs from Meridian I've tried recently, smooth and crunchy have tasted really weird, and some even rancid! I've had many of the smaller glass jars in all varieties and they taste fine so I took some time investigating the situation and was told by a Meridian representative there had been problems with over roasting and a different variety of nuts being used in some of the batches!
Batch 6293 Jan 2018 expiry was identified but I have found Batch 6239 Nov 2017 expiry to be similar! As of now I will only buy the glass jars and always check to make sure it's a recent batch! I absolutely believe Meridian PB is the best and they're a great company, I'm just pointing out they had some difficulties recently.
The recent release of peanut butter with pumpkin, sunflower and black sesame seeds is just divine and I can't wait to try the new peanut butter with cocoa as well!
I hope Meridian move away from single use plastic containers and focus on recycling the glass jars under a discount program as it's better for the environment and also tastes much better as well. Now I just have to stop buying bottled water every other day lol

mine finally came today, box was 50% card 50% brown tape and looked like had been through a few football matches but nothing was burst and a couple of free vegan 'chocolates' inside ( :smirk: )
didn't realise that the overlong estimate for delivery would come and go though - maybe not football matches but kicked all the way here

Got mine today, excellent packaging and even teh tubs were taped top secure. I appreciate the error and subsequent hoarding of it by buyers ( expected I suppose), the gesture to honour the orders was very good for Superfoods, However one good gesture desreves another and I shall be reordering through you at your usual price once I have got through this mountain of BP to make up.

Not at all but it might be a win-win, as I mentioned before for myself peanut butter is almost a form of self harm, that is having so much in the house.

8 May 172#52
I cancelled my order 1st thing this morning as their phone number is unobtainable (was trying to check if it was 1kg or 4 x 1kg) I then had a dispatch email at 11.15, with a tracking number for Royal Mail (which isn't a real tracking number according to Royal mail website). I then had an email to say that I was being refunded at 13.30hrs!! All a bit odd!

maybe im being slow but...nutritional values a bit odd there: protein, fat, carbs, fibre adds up to 90.2g per 100g (meridan adds to 95.7)

bit of a mixed blessing, don't know if I could control myself if I had that much peanut butter. A few days ago I had at Tesco's home delivery and they didn't have the small jar I ordered so they replaced it with a 1 kg tub like this, non-organic, nno extra cost, and it was like more peanut butter I've ever seen in my life.
