Become Mad Max, the lone warrior in a savage post-apocalyptic world where cars are the key to survival. In this action-packed, open world, third person action game, you must fight to stay alive in The Wasteland, using brutal on-ground and vehicular against vicious gangs of bandits. A reluctant hero with an instinct for survival, Max wants nothing more than to leave the madness behind and find solace in the storied “Plains of Silence.” Players are challenged with treacherous missions as they scavenge the dangerous landscape for supplies to build the ultimate combat vehicle.
That costs £8/month, so if you don't want to play for more than one month (pretty likely for a single player game like this), then that's a potentially good option for some people.

80% off eh? That would mean it was almost £50 before lol

Yup, £49.99 is the standard price on PSN.

Most of the combat challenges happened naturally but there was one where you had to have a 25 hit combo without taking a hit yourself which took me quite a few goes !

Rattling your dags challenge, fill the fury meter in 10 seconds, took me a while to get! Ended up sort of doing it by accident, when it popped up on screen I was franctically trying to save the game

I got the platinum ok on this and loved every minute though some of the combat achievements were quite challenging. Would buy a sequel in a heartbeat.

Very fun game, has its problems though.. and becomes a MAJOR Grind/Slog when going for the Platinum trophy.
Well worth a Tenner

80% off is probably a bit of a stretch considering its been cheap for a while. Still, it's a fun game.

Could be wrong, but pretty sure this was cheaper around Christmas time (£6ish). Yeah, yeah, yeah time machine and all that malarkey. Not saying it's a cold deal, just stating it has been cheaper from what I can remember.

So what do we do with that info? :smirk:
Most things are cheaper around Xmas time, but that was 5 months ago. This was £6 at Sainsbury's recently according to HUKD but when I checked 3 local stores it was £15.

If you mean on PSN, it was £11.99 at xmas according to ps prices.

Don't bank on getting a platinum on this, there is a bug that means you might not be able to finish all the missions and it has never been addressed. Good game for the price and some of the scenery is amazing.

It's the scavenging locations that appear to be the problem. Long as you're aware of what could go wrong before playing, it won't spoil the game checking, then you'll be fine

People complained that it was repetitive but I found it to be really fun.

I loved it for a while but it did get very samey. The graphics are amazing though, especially on a PC.

This was my 'surprise' game of last year. Picked it up cheap and got well into it. Similar combat to batman, but with a real raw, gritty feel to it. Similar with the car mechanics, always something new to purchase or upgrade, and the chase sequences with running enemies off the road was very satisfying. Highly recommend it at this price.

Well worth it at this price. Similar but different to Arkham Knight, hand to hand combat system is similar. But the car combat is so much better in Mad Max.

When this was first announced I laughed this off as yet another poor movie tie-in game but couldn't have been more wrong. I loved this and poured dozens of hours into it. Almost platinumed but couldn't get the fight combo requirement.
