And not good as the G6 sadly. Unsure how your comment relates to this deal.
5 Days and no response from EGC about a faulty G6.
I'd keep an eye on how this situation unfolds before even consider using them on something of such value.

I bought off eGlobal when they had a page on eBay. The phone suffered a fault after a few weeks, contacted eGlobal and after a few days of messaging, they linked me to their website where I had to upload images of the fault and they would then send me an address to send the phone back. They said that if we receive the phone and we discover that there are no issues, we will charge you a fixed fee of £20.00 for wasting their time, and also the P+P cost for the return. Contacted eBay, a few days later I had my refund. Now discovered that they've closed their eBay page (probably because they've realised that they're got someone to answer to when they give poor customer service). Wouldn't use them again.

Yes, looking like value for money on this deal is off the scale. Been playing with my G6 over the weekend and it really is a class act, thst DAC makes a noticable difference.
I really cannot see a better deal than this for a top end smartphone coming along any time soon.

I took the plunge last night and ordered the silver model, with discount code came to £358. Will let you all know how I get on. Bit nervous given the general feedback, but went through paypal so have some protection.
(Eglobal do have an ebay store with something around 99% positive rating, but products on there do cost more than buying direct from their store)

Thanks John for the overview, still sitting on the fence but while I'm on it the phone seems to be getting cheaper by the day.
Had a look earlier and it can be had standard delivery with the code EASY for about £358, bloody bargain.

OK, I'll have a go at answering this but first some context: Most of the time I use an iPhone 7 Plus but have experience of a OnePlus 3T and Galaxy S7. So basically the G6 deal represents the best value for money smartphone deal I can remember. The G6 feels as fast as the 3T to use and the screen while giving more detail is not as saturated as the 3Ts AMOLED. However the S7 screen looks better to me in all respects. The G6 screen is however VERY good. The G6 camera is comparable to the 3T's but not as good as the S7 or iPhone 7 Plus.
When you factor in the G6's water proofing great screen 64GB and SD / dual SIM and especially the price I would not hesitate. Oh, forgot to mention that the LG Android skin is really very good, it offers a ton of customisations without getting in the way.

Just got mine no custom charges and brand spanking new  awesome phone you wont be disappointed. Btw i have a pixel xl and iphone 7 plus in comparison on camera it comes 3rd but still freaking good. The sound quality through high end headphones it comes top so no comparison there. Great price for a very decent phone

100% agree with you , similar things happened with me , this website operated by some chinese cowboys , great respect for chinese people but not for this, 3rd grade customer service, seal open box, dust and fingerprint marks on handset, customers data left clearly shows sign of refurbished, used or demo handset, buy from reputed UK seller if you need peace of mind and genuine unused, sealed box pack with full 2 year warranty . Hot for handset but damm COLD for seller

Excellent phone but honestly cant trust the retailer.
And this phone is never going to touch £300 for standard retailers in UK, for those who are waiting.
Credit Card protection as far as i am aware only covers retailers in the UK, not any seller from across the world. So credit cards will not protect you just like that.

Not true. I've had a section 75 refund for a purchase from a Hong Kong supplier who failed to deliver and then failed to refund. I got every single penny back. The retailer by the way was Simply Electronics. It was a shame as I'd previously purchased from them twice before with no issues.

One must be very naive to think that a company without an address, telephone number and even a e-mail address can be 'good'.
The only it has to do with UK is "uk" in the name that must ring a bell as it's more common for chinese companies than for any genuine UK companies.
I'd cancel my order and contact my debit/credit card company ASAP for chargeback.

Generally not liked on HUKD due to previous customers' historical issues, and some peeps are not comfortable with a HK supplier and / or do not have access to a credit card for the potential additional protection for purchases of an item over £100. That said, EGC has been shown to offer recent surprisingly quick delivery for a far east supplier, import VAT is stated to be covered by EGC, and there is the option of UK returns (if the customer chooses to go down that route), plus the UK-enforceable S75 protection subject to qualification criteria.

If you paid EGC directly by UK credit card and EGC are still processing its credit card transaction via Worldpay as noted in recent similar deal, you contact the UK credit card company that is legally obliged to service the warranty as if it was the merchant.
