Which IPS and TN screens were you looking at? I've seen about a dozen of each type through personal, work and friends use and every single time the colours on the ips have been superior (correctly calibrated of course).
TN always has the better response time though.

Seems like if you pay by Paypal it's much more likely it will be delivered by Yodel.

Ah that back order thing has **** me off. Tempted to cancel and order through ebuyer but I'm scared they may use Yodel.

£92.03, if a 96p price drop matters to you  I'm tempted but interested in seeing some feedback first (will be a while if I'm waiting on Amazon reviews, as it's on back order!!).

What evidence could i possibly provide in a forum you will need to see it to believe, iv personally seen some excellent TN panels that you would think are IPS if you werent looking to see what type of panel it was. There are many many cheap IPS panels out there that have terrible washed out colours and are appalling when it shows dark scenes in games and movies and my only advise was for potential buyers to check reviews before buying such a cheap IPS monitor. IPS does not automatically mean better.
Yes always good advice to read reviews before buying but these seem ok and for £99 seems like a decent bargain. Sure it's not the monitor that a professional designer might use but looks OK for home / office use.

Really? I have never seen a TN display be better than an actual IPS panel. I have only seen people buy TN so they can tell their friends that it's got 1ms refresh and 4000 MHz.. but they still look ****.
Opening post
Same price at ebuyer, but I prefer to order from Amazon

DP can quite easily support hdmi, since hdmi came from dvi ..
