Hi, please help anyone who bought the HW01. I don't got in to run on iOS!! The App Lenovo Smart Bracelet cold be found on Appstore, maybe it had been removed. Could anybody got in run on other Apps maybe (3th party) Fitbit... Bluetooth will not found the device (no response.. so What I should do no..Check Bluetooth...Or only possible to connect to Android.. Thanks Markus from Germany

The alarm works fine on mine.Im guessing you've made sure they have been saved in the app property and then you've resynced the app with the band.If it doesnt work after that you can reset the band by holding the touch button for 3 secs and scrolling to off.Might work after that, if not? looks like its duff as you said.

Thanks for the pointers. I wanted to check if it is working on the ground. There is no other compatible app for this device as it does use 'standard' bluetooth and hence only visible and connected through the App as is the common wisdom on the Lenovo forums.

Has anyone managed to get alarms to work? Do I have a duff unit?

Not sure if I am wasting your time here but have you tried to download the official app and having a play with it, I'm not sure if you're able to look at the functionality without syncing. Also, as this has the function to read at the interval of every 15 mins have you tried Googling the features of other compatible apps to see if they are able to perform the task you want? The ability to set the interval time seems more of a software feature so you may find a third party app that can do it as the hardware seems capable.

I am looking for a HR monitor that tracks heart rate at frequent intervals if not 24/7. Reading through all the comments, it looks like this one will sample heart rate every 15minutes. Can this time interval be configured to say a minute or so? Someone with the watch please let me know.
There has also been a comment the Xaiomi MI 2 does not has this functionality of monitoring heart rate automatically in the background. It needs to be triggered to do so. Is this true.

Bought one $20.99 with speedy delivery approx (10-20days ). Just wonder if I can sync with Fitbit app ?

iOS users should note that there's no sync with MyFitnessPal. Where on Android you can use Google Fit as a "middle man" between the two for exercise calorie burn etc, on iOS MFP only picks up the phone's own step count.

To answer the sunlight readability question, I'm outside and really struggling to read it.

Mine arrived today. Haven't had much of a chance to play about with it, but I'm a little peeved - the only thing I actually wanted it for was to act as a trusted device in smart unlock so I didn't have to unlock my phone when it was around (first world problems I know) but because you have to connect the bluetooth via the app, it's not "seen" by the device as being a connected a bluetooth device - so no smart unlock functionality.

Everything else seems to work though. Oh well. Maybe I'll come to appreciate some of the other stuff.

Got mine today, generally good except for the heart rate sensing, miles out, I think it just guesses.

My steps just updated in Google Fit so I guess the sync is actually working. No sleep data in Fit though. Wish things were a bit clearer about what they sync!

Turned up yesterday (so 2 weeks 5 days, approx. I used the priority shipping for an extra £1 or so and the "ship faster" button, but I imagine both are fake)

Band itself is pretty good, solid, comfortable, nice display. Step and sleep tracking seem about right.

The app is awful though, it does very little and although it's meant to sync with Google Fit it doesn't actually sync any data. The app is by "Wemeworkroom", not Lenovo, and I can't find any press release or anything official from Lenovo themselves acknowledging that the "HW01" even exists - plus Lenovo are normally far better than this and don't write everything in broken Chenglish - which leads me to believe these bands are just random Chinese ones where they've simply stolen the Lenovo logo. For that reason, if it wasn't greyed out, I'd vote cold.

Do you have to use the lenovo app or can you use the Google fit app with it?

I received my order in the same condition (i.e. previously opened), but the band itself looked new - maybe a refurb? I cannot comment on the app as I use the iOS version and the notifications appear to work okay. You may be right about a 'bad batch' for the display though, as my unit is very legible and clear in sunlight.

I received mine last week and the display is much clearer than my mi band 2, especially in sunlight. (The main reason I ordered it as my mi band 2 was pretty much unreadable in bright sunlight).

The app does need to be on all the time for reminder notifications etc, it doesn't seem to run in the background like other apps.
Other than that, the watch especially I'm pretty pleased with it.

mine arrived yesterday. wore it during the day as I was pottering around and it tracked steps etc no problem. I downloaded the app and synced it and it suddenly showed no steps. either on the app or the watch. set the alarm on the app which seemed to work ok, but it hasn't tracked my sleep at all when i've got up this morning? can anyone help as to why it's not tracking anything for me please?

Yes order delivered from 1st May; The plastic bag had been opened then sealed with tape; The Lenovo box seals had been cut as well so not new (Battery was fully charged and clock/time was all set to Uk ?)
I have bought four different Bands this year and this Lenovo is another bugged one for sure.
The Band is recognised ok ( Do not connect with bluetooth on the phone but through the App or it won't connect ) but still not getting notifications of calls or txts; This Android App is the worst yet.
The Teclast H30 Band is much better and even cheaper from Gearbest; also works well with its App.
I cannot believe Lenovo would be connected with an App like this?

As for using this is in Sunlight, it is very Dim and with the display only on for a few seconds it is near impossible to see even with repeated touch to try and view. Still never got notifications to work either.
It would be good if we had more feedback from buyers on this as other comment says no problem in Sun; Is there a bad batch?
I have now decided to contact Gearbest about this Lenovo rubbish but will not be losing anymore money with return postage as this is now another Gearbest item binned.

To answer a few questions on here...

I ordered mine 1st May (my first purchase from Gearbest) and it arrived yesterday. I was quite pleased with that, I expected it to take longer. I paid the extra for priority shipping but it was only $2
The display is not constantly on but can be activated by either touching the touch area of the screen or by rotating your wrist as if to looking at the watch face.
I was not charged any VAT/duty/customs/handling fees at all.
Text/email/whatsapp notifications do not contain any data - only an envelope/whatsapp symbol. Telephone call notifications however include the caller's telephone number which I find very useful.
I have not tried the music control function with Spotify but can confirm it is compatible with Deezer so I'd assume it would work.
I have worn the band in the shower and it is still working, although the instructions advise against wearing it in water at all.
The display is visible outdoors, albeit slightly less brightly than it would be indoors. It is still acceptably visible and hasn't caused me any problems.
The heart rate monitor records results every 15 minutes, but in sports mode can provide a constant update.
The app, although basic, is functional. However, if you close the app, the bluetooth connection is lost so it must be left open in the background at all times. Other than that the connection has remained solid at all times.

I hope that helps a few people, I'm pleased with my purchase and would say it is definitely worth £16.

It seems if the item is a purchase then VAT is charged if the value is above £15 but if the package is marked as a gift, VAT is only charged above £36. So it depends how the seller declared the item.

can someone compare its HR monitoring to the mi band 2. As I got the mi band 2and the HR is inconsistent on the move. The only way I get accurate HR is if i measure it the same way one measures blood pressure (hand laying on the table in perfect stillness). Otherwise I get readings all over the place. Forget about movement even if I try to measure my hr on the bus its all over the place.

is the limit £36? i have just paid vat +charges on an item worth £20 and my partner regularly pays vat on material from the states worth around $30. the gov website says vat has to be paid on items above £15.

bought 2 from this company, mine doesn't log steps and sleep properly, husbands wont connect to his phone. Company have refunded faulty goods but wont refund delivery cost, nor for the coloured bracelets bought to use with them, useless to us if the fit thingies don't work

Does anyone know if the notifications show the content of texts/SMS messages? I have the Mi Band 2 and this just pops up with "Text from Bob" without any content which isn't all that useful... Hoping the HW01 shows the text message contents too. I'm using with an iPhone btw.

I would like to use this but keep the wireless feature off and sync by enabling the bluetooth wireless once in 24 hours. Can these devices (HW01 or MiBand2) store the data on the device itself for some time?
I have a need for a countdown timer which notifies by a silent vibrate when the set time is up. Does any of these bands can do that. Please if you have used this functionality, could you let me know.

Correct, you shouldn't get any fees for something worth £16 and marked correctly on the custom form.

I ordered one at the beginning of the month from Bangood and it arrived today which is pretty good. I've previously been using a Mi band 1and the HW01 is a big improvement, the screen is very clear and time is displayed as you lift your arm to view the watch. Can't comment on its accuracy yet but no doubt the same as the Mi band! I'll wear both to check and compare.
Would never ever use this or any other watch or device in water (swimming). This is rated as shower/rain resistant. Too easy to leave the charger plug unseated. Brilliant value for money!!
