How many bottles did you leave at that price ! Is it worth a 30 minute journey ?

I only bought 2 - I'm not greedy! There were 10 or so still there - price says £6 so a good chance of grabbing a bottle. Probably worth checking other stores as well.
Just to be clear, despite the name, this is not a New Zealand wine (it's French) so is definitely not from Marlborough as the description states.

Sorry OP but it's not Marlborough - not even NZ. It's French with a name designed to deceive!

I don't rate NZ red very highly. I believe the whites are ok

You realise this IS a white? If you don't rate NZ Red's highly I presume you've not tried a Central Otago Pinot Noir - a truely superb wine region but expensive.

My brother lives on the South island. I go most years. No I don't care for White much. I've tried a good few reds but didn't find one. I will look it up next year.
