It may be cheaper HERE! at ILGS but I'm checking reviews of the retailer first - £87.79
ILGS seem to be fine, they offer free shipping but advise it can take up to 7 days.
EDIT: ILGS price has now gone back up, but if you look at post number two, it was that price, even if it was a short time  and Sorry :disappointed:
EDIT: Also now £88.56 at BT Business Direct + P&P the link is - HERE!
Now gone from BT also.

Except it wouldn't. In benchmarks you'd get some bigger numbers, but they don't translate into real-world gains that you would notice day to day.
SSDs of any kind are insanely fast.

Its has a 200TB stated endurance... that is OK, the same as other reputable SSDs.

Not sure if you're being serious with that question but an EVO 960 would absolutely annihilate a UV400 in every single way imaginable.
Yes this was 87£ which was brilliant price now at 98 not so much

The HyperX Savage is the better drive and beats the UV400 in every way possible in benchmarks.
It's currently out of stock at Amazon, but can still be ordered for dispatch it '1 to 4 weeks.'

I am really sorry to advise you, but unfortunately the item what you placed on your order 68618755 was incorrectly set up on our website with incorrect price.
Sorry if it looks misleading, but it is just a simple human error. The price will be corrected on our website as our Technicians are working on the problem.
The original price is £ 134.99 Ex VAT.
If you think it is still acceptable please let me know and new order will be processed.
In the same time we start refund process on your original payment.
I would like to apologise for all the inconvenience what has been caused for you by this case.

Is £98 a good deal for a 480G SSD?

Yes, it's about as cheap as you can get them right now.
If you need it buy it but I'm not sure that now is a good time to buy SSD prices have been static/increasing for some time. I bought my 500GB evo 850 in 2015 for £117.

If you need an SSD now, then you have little choice as the prices will not start coming down at the very earliest until the end of 2017, but it is now looking likely that it will be Q1 2018.

So this went hot based on previous lower price from different retailer then you edited it twice to higher prices from different retailers?
Surely this should have been expired so themes price can be judged on its own merit

Decent price at ~£90, but in the £100-120 range you can get a significantly better performing drive. These don't benchmark particularly well against the competition. Still a huge improvement over a mechanical drive of course though.

In most of the benchmarks listed in that article it is similar to a number of other more expensive drives. Overall I think at this price it's excellent value for money, especially for someone looking for a cheap upgrade from an HDD.

It seems Kingston had a price error thought one of there distributors which has caused the prices to go wrong everywhere in the market.
how does this compare to Samsung drives evo and pros

It's a TLC drive, it's fast 550r/500w and 90k/50k IOPS and it comes in a cracking retail kit with USB enclosure, and software etc.
Basically, unless you were comparing an older SATA II drive to an 850 EVO etc. then they are all becoming very similar, pretty much how spinning disk hard drives have.

Yeah, seems that they corrected it, but I bought one as you can see from above, but I've updated the OP and title to reflect, the not so good, but still cheap price for 480GB presently.
