(On a side note, fruit is dead as soon as it falls from the tree/vine, not that it matters).
Animals should be treated well if they are reared for food or not.
Cramping them into small cages with no sunlight, growing sores and rashes all over their body "because it's cheaper" is not acceptable.
I'm not saying don't eat meat, I'm saying eat free-range chicken. Which KFC is not.

As far as meat goes, this is the worst. With unbeleiveably poor treatment of the chickens.
I'm sure your dog/cat is tasty - you wouldn't eat it though would you, nor would you allow your pets to live in such conditions.
But because it's an animal you never have to meet or interact with, it's fine.
If you eat KFC, then you do not care for the welfare of farmed animals in any way at all.
And probably a hypocrite (if you claim to love animals).
