Last week, a quaint little indie title called Kamiko released on Nintendo Switch. At £4.49, it's currently the cheapest title on the console – and it's worth every penny.
Just a glimpse at the game's artwork and trailer tells us that this is a retro-inspired homage to The Legend of Zelda. Hell, even the game's icon on the Switch's dashboard looks eerily familiar:
Sword-wielding fighter? Check. High vantage point overlooking a mountain range? Check. Picturesque blue, cloudy sky? Check.
Kamiko isn't Breath of the Wild, of course. At a mere tenth of its price, it doesn't come close to the magnitude or depth that Breath of the Wild gives us, but what it does provide is an enjoyable romp filled with puzzles and combat that bring back memories of Zelda games on the NES. That's never a bad thing.

Yeah I bought it when it went live, it's more it's a deals site and this isn't a deal it's rrp =P
It's like me posting persona 5 on psn RRP, saying it's literally the best game I've played in years
Kudos for shin chan though =p

It's a good game on any system.
There are four worlds, and three unique characters, so three different playthroughs. First playthrough will take maybe 90 minutes. But you'll be speedrunning in 30 mins by the third. It's a really fun game, and the cost of a posh pint (and longer lasting).

Yes but it is a fantastic, groundbreaking and innovative game which is a must have for any gamer. On the switch.
On any other console, it is a mediocre piece of bits and bytes that's hardly worth your time.

Well, a large proportion of people when posting deals just copy/paste blurb from the relevant listing - although HUKD guidance asks that people not do so, this is pretty much the same thing.

Voted hot to annoy those moaning about 'ripping' images :stuck_out_tongue:

Not just images, the whole article was plagiarised.

That's the original price from the beginning. Anyone having a Nintendo Switch must have seen it, since it's second on the most selling games on the store (for sure due to its price).

And well done for doing so! The game's been sadly absent from discussion anywhere on the site so far, including even in the dedicated Switch thread - I've been meaning to bring it up.

I know this is RRP but the game is very good and could easily go under the radar for many, i put the "deal" up so ppl would see it and not miss out on a bargain.

Not exactly ripped the pictures, the ones on this thread are still hosted there just linked to.
Short length, small price. The game is designed to be replayed and there's more to value than £ per hour.

I think it's cheaper on the JPN account if you can be bothered faffing about, but might be good to learn the routine if you plane on buying any games from the in the future.

RRP, but worth every penny. If you enjoy this, also check out the developer's previous titles Fairune (3DS, Vita) and Fairune 2 (3DS).
Oh, and before any comparisons to Hyper Light Drifter's artstyle, Fairune was going in that direction before HLD had even started its Kickstarter.
