Just launched in the UK before anywhere else in the world Jack Daniels Tennessee cider. 330ml bottle 5.5% abv. Described as a crisp cider blended with 25% Jack Daniel's No 7 Tennessee whiskey. Currently £2 a bottle in Morrisons or mix and match with loads of other drinks for any 3 for £5
Apparently they launched it here first as the UK has a growing market for all things cider - worth a try anyway!

And that completes the list of every brand in the world launching its own cider.

Yes I've been trying to find where this is being stocked. Thanks OP, I'm going to source some out next time I'm at Morrisons. I'm hoping it's like Jeremiah Weed Sour Mash was, as that's been discontinued now.

Did you try it? Is it anything like Jeremiah Weed? My fella loved it too

At least it's only JD. I'd have been annoyed if someone had ruined a good whiskey by mixing it with cider.

These have been available for about a month in Londis stores randomly.
Haven't tried myself but bought a few for a family member who said they have a really distinct taste, she happened to like them though

The best cider ever was 'Inch's' Devon cider. Bulmers took it over & destroyed all but four of the vats etc. :-(.

I'll stick with Aspalls and Talisker in separate glasses thanks.

Just tried a bottle, as someone that likes cider (both dry and sweet in particular) and likes Whiskey I can say I really didn't like it.

I'm still waiting for a certificate from Harry Ramsdens for eating the 'Harry's Challenge' when I first went to Blackpool. Think that was the year I got divorced so 22 years ago

I think it means it's cut with 25% strength JD rather than the traditional 40%

It means the bourbon that has been added is only 25% ABV; not that 25% of the liquid in the bottle is bourbon.

Depends if they mean the British or American definition of cider. If it's what we call cider I agree it'll be awful but in America cider is basically cloudy apple juice which might work with JD.

This sounds disgusting. Also why is it on the front page? 3 for £5 is standard for bottles in supermarkets, so this isn't a "hot deal". Paid-for advertising?

They have Vimto on tap at my local, just add Vodka etc
Thanks but I'd rather buy a bottle than agree to their terms!
