I spent ages looking for a good value lease, as soon as I give in and buy an older car this pops up in my facebook feed!

Best price lease I've seen for a while and seems a good car.

£8,000 miles, choice of colour (Obsidian Black, Blade Silver, Liquid Copper or Ink Blue)

£250 deposit
£179 per month for 2 years
Total £4,546

If you increase the deposit the total cost is more, you'd think it would be the other way.

From Lucas_0224 - Collection from Hull, or £150 delivery fee. And only colour available at £179 is black, others are an extra £7 per month

Sorry but your very wrong, this car may be made by Nissan but is based on Mercedes A class, same chassis as well as most parts. The q30 Is a car not a crossover / 4x4.

Clearly a fleet manager who knows his onions

I got one of these last month on nationwide deal for £167 a month and it is a beautiful car ,drives like a dream plenty of mid range torque to overtake. Interior is great comes with emergency brake incase you are going to hit the car in front and hill assist which is a dream to use and is a great around car. I think the style is great and we'll impressed with the interior touch screen system. Just go see one and at this price a steal. A new car for this a month and give it back.
I would recommend it all day long.

Thanks for that. My last car was a Cactus C4 1.6d which I was actually very happy with. Excellent fuel economy and a good sized car for tootling around London. Interior was a bit bland and I'm hoping the Q30 is better inside. I'm very impressed with photos I've seen so far so can't wait to get mine next Friday

Bargain for the money, but depends what you're swapping it with (I swapped from a Titanium Focus, which had a couple more features as standard - e.g. automatic wipers).

Engine not too punchy - would prefer something with a little more pull, but again it's a bargain.

And it's probably a personal view - but I love the look of mine!

On another note, did these come with carmats?

I returned the paperwork 2 weeks ago today, and they still don't have the car from Infiniti, with no idea when it will even be available. Has now been 4 weeks since I started this process.

I had a call yesterday and they told me they had a huge number of requests and that they expected to have my registration on Monday, and from there still around 10 days because of Santander's paperwork to deliver the car. I do not like this wait either, but I think the price deserves it, and I still have my old car.

I received a refund of my deposit yesterday. Seems the hold up was because the original person I dealt with had been on holiday.

I would have liked the car but the more it dragged on with very poor communication the longer I had to think, as it is I'm more than happy with my present car and pretty sure I would prefer it to the Infiniti but it's now 10 years old and so I was worried about possible future problems which I why I looked at leasing. I've now decided to take an extended warranty out on my present car, refurbish the alloys and have it valeted which will be a lot cheaper than the £6000 this lease would cost.

So after 19 days and still heard nothing. I have called and chased. they had said that all the orders have all had their registrations attach but my was missed so I will need to wait for the next delivery. smell a bit of bullsh't if you ask me. we will see how long it takes now
I'm in no rush anyway especially at the price I paid

I am also thinking about doing the same and that's mainly due to their poor customer service and have already started to look at other car deals about as my current one is running out in a few weeks, when I called them last, I asked what the process would be in getting my deposit back and they stated that they would re-process it back.

Got a phone call from them yesterday confirming a date of delivery for 16th July, changed insurance, purchased GAP insurance, then got a call this afternoon cancelling the delivery as the cars aren't available from Infiniti yet!!!! They don't yet have a date as to when they will be available. Had to cancel the insurance change and cancel the GAP insurance comppletely.

Honestly If you read back earlier in this thread, you will see I went through precisely this chain of events but did eventually get my car yesterday.

Their quoted lead times are miles off the mark, their promises are broken daily and their communication is horrific ... it took me 12 phone calls and 5 hours JUST to get a delivery slot confirmed, the day before delivery as I hadn't heard anything confirming even the date! BUT the paperwork did eventually arrive, the car did eventually come into stock and the delivery did eventually happen...

I did some research and this isn't the first deal that they have offered that they have struggled to get on top of the number of sales. There was a cactus deal i believe, going back over a year and it was the same story BUT orders were fulfulled and the prices are real.

As I've noted, KEEP pushing them, threaten to cancel even (as I did regularly) and it did seem to give them the kick up the are they needed.

You'll get there I'm sure.

not quite, I ordered this last Tuesday and paid deposit, I called today to chase up the paperwork as it now around 1 days, I was told that they still are not up to date with orders, I was told that had over 300 orders and have people who have been waiting a few weeks for the paperwork, I asked when I can expect to get paperwork and was told that they could not give a definite answer as to next week or the week after etc. I was told that they are expecting about 35 registrations end of this week or early next week.

This is on paper a great deal on paper but what I struggle with is not getting the paperwork immediately or any other acknowledge after paying the deposit etc and also motordepot seam to change week after week, this will likely be a long wait.

on a sidenote I rang Newcastle infiniti as I live closeby to see if they could match this or offer anything close, I was told that they were not able to offer such low price and struggled to understand how motordepot negotiated this, I was told that a few people who had go infiniti's from motor-depot had complained of poor customer aftercare when there has been problems, I took this with a pinch of salt as a dealer slagging off another dealer but wouldn't be surprised. So now its just a wait and see how this pans out.

From those who have ordered can you clarify something.
I have paid a £250 deposit, finally received my documents by e mail today, but it mentions another payment called an advance hire payment of £250 due when signing the agreement followed by 24 payments. Which seems like an extra payment to me or is it just the original deposit?
I did query it by e mail but have not had a reply yet.

Paid deposit for mine a few days ago got a little worried that I had not reviewed paperwork for mine as normally you get the paperwork straight away, I rang them and they said that it would take them about 2 weeks to sort the paperwork as Santander is only allowing them a certain number of registrations a week, then after paperwork it's another few weeks for the car, for those like me who have just jumped on this now it's looking likely that it may be at least 4 weeks at minimum to get delivery, I think they may have oversold this and do get concerned when dealers say that they are only allowed a certain amount of new registrations a week anyway it's a wait and see now,

for those who get delivery in the next few days let us know how it is.

I have taken this car via nationwide........it has had a few problems but going to a dealer to have the issues resolved...a bot of trim came off, rear spoiler not aligned properly and stop start not working.....taking that into account ,i can say the engine is not very gutsy but its adequate in my opinion. car looks good i have it in white....but in my opinion the liquid copper colour is fantastic but i think you need to pay extra....One of the few cars on the market where you can see the bonnet when you are driving . The hand brake take a little time to get the hang of as i think its in awkward place, but its like a Merc in the area. Enqine is low on noise when cruising but you can hear the deisel when pulling away from standing position, but its not to noisy. No DAB in my car which is a little annoying but not a deal breaker in my case. Its nice to drive , and it turns heads as you dont see many on the road. beware not that many dealers so check out your nearest before you lease for servicing. I think its a good deal but i think the nation wide deal was a little better when i got my car about a month ago. I also to out gap insurance

xander2017

I ordered mine last week (Business Executive DCT) and was told on the phone that delivery was 7 days after finance paperwork had been sorted... As of this morning they have now come clean and advised that they have ZERO actual stock of ANY of the variants offered on their website and are awaiting registrations from Infiniti. Delivery is now likley to be 2nd June after they get the registration details for all recent orders this Friday. They have clearly over sold and will get them when they get them by the looks of it, just wish they had been straight up about it! (Still bloody cheap though!)
Lucas_0224
17 May 17 #121
They just bring date of registration forward with DVLA presumably?

I was told not in stock per se, but on way direct from Infiniti....
pjm1001
17 May 17 #120
Are you allowed to drive a car before date of first registration? I'm not sure but if not then there is no chance of delivery before end of may. When I first ordered it they told me all the cars were in stock out the back, and delivery could be as quick as a week. Now they've started being vague. If it's not going to be till June, I'd rather they were just upfront about it

No problem, you are welcome. I appreciate the Leon isn't everyone's cup of tea. I almost bought one myself a couple of years back but in the end went for an Octavia vRS. Like you I was a little bit disappointed with the interior, however it was well specced and had sat nav, dual climate control and led headlights as standard. It's also just had a minor facelift to keep it modern. This deal has just been posted;-

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/seat-leon-1-4tsi-fr-technology-pack-free-metallic-paint-2-year-lease-8k-miles-4536-2688832

Unfortunately the budget doesn't quite stretch to the Scirocco;-

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/main-dealers/inchcape-volkswagen-chester/volkswagen/scirocco/195297353/

Most others I can think of are also a little bit over budget, but here's a reasonable Ford Focus deal;-

https://www.centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/vehicle/choose_your_lease/78225/ford/focus/15_tdci_120_zetec_edition_5dr.html

Best of luck, hopefully you'll find something you like!

Again i appreciate the reply. I handed back a focus 1.0 ecoboost 125 in January from a previous job and yes it is a great all round motor. But now with me starting a new job i want to treat myself to something that's fun but not gonna cripple me financially. That Peugeot mentioned is interesting and I'll have a look back to see if i can find it.

I could have had a leon and tested drove one. But was really disappointed with the interior, and didn't like how basic they are.

I'd love a scirocco but like i said don't wanna go down the used route. But the megane in style is similar but looked at couple of pictures and that huge badge at the front put me off lol.

I'm like this with alot of things but just want to treat myself to something fun, stylish but practical to my needs . That Peugeot might just fit the bill.

Volvo v40 aswell is nice.

My head is pecked with it. But gotta sort something.

And the 4.5k is about the most I'd want to fork out over 24 months

The Ford Focus is widely acknowledged as being the best car in its class for handling, and there are a few reasonable deals around as long as you aren't choosy over which engine you want.

Failing that if you find the Focus a bit boring, the SEAT Leon FR is a good car to drive and a bit different styling-wise. It's essentially a VW Golf underneath, it's pretty well specced and comes with a choice of petrol or diesel engines.

It perhaps isn't as outright sporty as the 208 GTi mentioned above, but it still drives well, it's more spacious than the Peugeot and doesn't have the marmite dials over the steering wheel. I'm sure there was a deal posted on here a few weeks back for approx £4.5k for a 2 year lease.
makkax1
11 May 17 1 #103

I need a car quite soon. And I've been researching leasing quite extensively recently. This is a nice cost price. But the car itself just doesn't excite me. But I'm also thinking should i be too bothered about that . And if not just buy out right a dacia for 6k but i can't bring myself to do that either. I want a scirocco because I've always liked them going back years But don't want a used car. And to my knowledge they've stopped making them new . So I'm thinking a megane! I really don't know what to do. I actually really wanted a mx5 because i wanted something fun to drive but family won't allow for that. Sry for the rant but I'm struggling with this car issue.

So basically I'm after a car that's fun to drive when on my own but also accommodates 2 little ones on occasion at a cost that isn't gonna break the bank and on a lease deal. But who isn't right.

This is a good price though so heat to OP.

Stick it in a global tracker fund with a high percentage of bonds. Like Vanguard life strategy 40.
5%pa is a pretty reasonable expectation!

If you invested 15k in the 100 equity version 2 years a go you would have made 6 grand... Obviously prices go up and down as it's investing.

limegreenzx
9 May 17 #96
So buying this car second hand will cost you £4000+VED for 2 years. Sorry, but I'd rather have a brand new car, keep my £15000 (investing to get £1500 over 2 years not too difficult), pay the extra £5/week that the lease cost and have the peace of mind that I just hand the car back at the end of the lease.

No probs. This is your list of available 7 seater SUVs.

Audi Q7
Bentley Bentayga
BMW X5
Hyundai Santa Fe
Kia Sorento
Land Rover Discovery
Land Rover Discovery Sport
Mercedes GLS
Mitsubishi Outlander
Mitsubishi Shogun
Nissan X-Trail
Range Rover Sport
Skoda Kodiaq
SsangYong Rexton

I'm guessing the Hyundai & Kia would have the cheaper deals on them but I've not seen leases of less then £250 p/m for either of them.

I'm looking at this too. However, I'm a little confused to which model this car actually is because Infiniti don't display this model anywhere on their website. There's SE, Premium, Premium intouch, Premium Tech, Premium Tech intouch, then the two Sport models.

I'd like to use their website to see specifically that model to see how it looks and browse all the features.

Rubbish car.

Poverty spec to make the whole experience even worse.

Interesting that you can pick up a 2016 model, same spec, with 1200 (not a typo) miles on the clock for.... £15,000! So after 2 years it would be worth no more than 11-12k. The lease company must be buying these things off Infiniti for £14-15k. The RRP of £22k is a joke really.

I just handed back a Peugeot 208 GTi Prestige (from here) after leasing it for 18 months. I had some pretty bad rear panel damage which was repaired on the insurance, and some little **** jumped on the roof of it, which caused it to crease badly. I went to a local body shop and got the roof done for £120.
When the guys came to inspect it, they explained who they were, and asked that I just leave them to it for half an hour. 30 minutes later he knocks on the door and tells me he finds two tiny scratches 30-50mm in length - they were so faint I could barely even see them. They were going to cost me £48 each. Anyway, he didn't notice anything on the roof or on the rear panel. Couple of weeks later, Peugeot sent a letter informing me they'd voided the charges for the scratches, so had nothing else to pay.

I should also note that when I went through the insurance company to repair/replace the rear panels, I didn't inform anyone relating to the lease. In the contract terms and conditions, it states that any damage over and above general wear and tear should get repaired.

No he's right, it's based on the same platform as the GLA and so will the SUV version. It's the reason this sits a bit higher than conventional hatches. Lots of info about this on the web if you actually look.

I have handed back 2 and never been charged a penny, even dodged the 2 year service (by agreement) as it was not showing on the car is due when I handed it back. I did get the alloys repaired and the car valet before handing back. The car will be 2 years old and should be returned as such, any more than normal wear might result in a charge - so I would try not to "ding" it.

Same goes for the interior, so I wouldn't recommend a 40 a day smoking habit either.

Reputable companies should use the BVRLA guidelines. Fair wear and tear is generally OK, as long as you treat it with respect you shouldn't have any real problems.

It all depends how much work needs to be done to restore the vehicle to a saleable condition. Lots of dings and scratches and bald tyres - expect to be charged. But anyone knows the majority of 2 or 3 year old vehicles for sale are bound to have one or two small marks.

I am sure my previous car a Mercedes C class had a warning light that the system was getting clogged and I just needed to take it on a short motorway journey to clear it. Then it was fine, still stayed below the 8k miles per year for two years and had no issues.

There was this a few months back at an average of about £190 a month, so you might be able to find a deal although I doubt you will find anything with such a low deposit.

If you come across one please let me know - we're also in that market! My husband has found quite a few decent deals on the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso (if that's what they're calling it now - the big 7 seater one). Not the most exciting car in the world, but it's a decent size and well laid out internally. He just browses on the Contract Hire & Leasing site, and with our last lease deal (Audi) got the local main dealer to match the best deal he found, avoided various fees that way.
jhw
7 May 17 1 #46
Infiniti may be an upmarket version of Nissan in the US - but in the UK it seems more of a downmarket version, with its 1.5 diesel! The US version has a 2.0 petrol.
kitana8
7 May 17 #45
Although I wouldn't agree with this one. The reason is you only save money by getting a diesel doing more miles typically more than 15k per year to jusify the extra costs that come with diesels, i.e. servicing, insurance etc. The other main factor is if your doing small journeys then you can destroy the engine as the particulate filter that they put in them gets clogged up if not taken on long journeys and can result in a huge bill to repair.

These are only things to bare in mind as long as you can cover this then I would say this is a cracking deal and probably makes it more worth it compared to its petrol equivalent. Hope this helps

Lease cars are only cheap for a reason - they're hard to shift. The obvious problem here is that no sane private buyer is going to buy a small car with the letter 'd' in its designation. Not unless they've never heard of depreciation and probable diesel restrictions and taxation, that is. With leasing you rent it cheap and give it back.

As above, nothing to do with a qashqai apart from coming out if the same factory, shares most components with Merc a class, but that's not necessarily a good thing, people put up with a lot of faults in the a class because they can say they drive a Merc, you don't get that benefit in this. Can't think of a single reason to recommend this car, it's not fast, practical, luxurious, much of a looker but this deal is cheap for this car. But I would recomend getting a different car car that ticks whichever of the above criteria fits your need (for this price nothing will tick every box. My 2 cents.

Most people are looking at this and thinking what is this!

Some perspective from a fleet manager:

The Q30 is version of Nissan Qashqai, Infiniti is a premium mark from Nissan and has been popular in the US for many years.

The Q30 was more expensive then the Qashqai and quite frankly it was not worth the money. Some how the steering was soggy, it corners softly compared to the Nissan. All around Infiniti were offering a less capable car with a better interior.

If you drove the Nissan and then the Infiniti back to back you would see that Infiniti got the raw deal on the how the car drives. Even the other car, The Renault Kadjar based on the Qashqai is neater and tidier to drive.

Now at £179 PCM you might well find this to be better value for money then it was at list price its certainty a tempting proposition. But there is reason why, its simply that you would not buy a Q30 over the Qashqai at smaller price difference.
centaurandrew to groenleader

You don't buy a car like this for "the drive" - if it's a nicer place to sit than it's the better car.
HUX1
6 May 17 13 #9
Sorry but your very wrong, this car may be made by Nissan but is based on Mercedes A class, same chassis as well as most parts. The q30 Is a car not a crossover / 4x4.
