This seems like a really great price for some decent speakers, they have 5 x 5* reviews. Just ordered a pair for the front of my Clio V6. Gotta be much better than the cheap paper speakers that come as standard in most cars!

Delivery is free. Don't think you will get anything like this for this price anywhere else. Remember to check the size of the speakers in your car before ordering.

You might also need a speaker adaptor lead to fit these to your car, available for £1.95 delivered on eBay - item number 260859493867.

ordered thanks, was hoping to shoehorn 16cm one's into the front of the STi, so if I can't be bothered they'll be a direct replacement for the knackered front one's - or I'll use them to replace the one's in the back doors.

Same here - classic Impreza wagon still running the 20 year old 'paper' speakers. Was also thinking about fitting bigger when I got round to it, but for this price, these will do nicely. Ordered 2 sets, so that's both front and back doors sorted.

ANY audio product where they dont give the measurement type I take with a tub of salt.

It usually means peak to peak output at 10% distortion. Anything over 1% distortion will make your ears bleed, so these probably have a "real" power handling of about 5 watts RMS. Loud enough for a basic car speaker.

Of course, if you just want them to go BOOM BOOM BOOM, the distortion doesnt really matter, because it is all just noise anyway.

BTW, the cone material is listed as fibreglass, NOT a good choice, I would rather have the paper cones, but then I listen to music.

There's some pretty awful horror stories on this company, (CAC) who seem to make/own In Phase, everywhere I look for reviews on their speakers. I hope none of us have to return them!

Would be useful if someone could comment if they have these fitted with a brief review of what they think.
As above, my opinion is the 5 5* reviews on CAC are very much audited by them (maybe not faked, but bad reviews removed)

Glad to see people are buying them to give their sound a bit of an upgrade, can't wait to fit mine, will mainly be for when I am on the motorway lol.

You can never be 100% sure I guess, but this is a 5* verified purchase review on Amazon:

"I bought these for my car a year ago and they have really stood the test of time. They were bought as a replacement for my component speakers which stopped working after 3 months.

Pros:
- Very good sound quality for a budget price
- Feel very well made and look more expensive
- Give a nice treble and give out a good bit of bass
- No need for mounting troublesome crossover boxes and extra wiring for the tweeters
- Loud when running through amplifier

I have given this product 5/5 due to the value for money, obviously these are not going to compare with alpine X types or rainbow speakers but perfect for a budget."

I've since read some quite bad reviews too, but most of the reviews seem to be aimed at the distribution company itself (Car Audio Centre) and their selling practices for people who want to buy "branded" stuff that they then try to sell their in-house brand "In Phase" speakers to instead. Most of this seems to be historical too, from nearly 10 years ago.

From my point of view, they can't sound any worse than the 20-year old, 1-way, paper OEM speakers they'll be replacing in my car, so assuming they arrive OK, they're bound to be an improvement on what I've already got.

Do NOT order from here. I have made this mistake in the past. They tried to substitute my product with a cheaper alternative and after I refused, they took a month to give me my £150 back. Their customer service is shocking and the agents constantly lie to get you off the phone. They also have physical branches which may actually be OK, which is what some of the good reviews relate to. For the online operations however, please don't give this vile excuse for a company more traffic.

Also as someone who has been a car audio enthusiast, I would recommend JBL speakers as they are not only cheap but also reliable.

i've just got a new car and I wanted to change the rims + maybe do some new mods afterwards. so my dad has told me that you shouldn't because then you have to tell the insurance company and they'll bump up the insurance price. Is this true or bull?

Can work both ways for many insurers.
Check with your insurance company is always best first.

I know mine are fine with modifications which are cosmetic, soon as engine mods happen, it normally the drops price.

This is interesting! I was under the impression that any mods at all (cosmetic), my insurance will either go up or if I don't declare them they won't pay out if I need to claim.
What mods have you declared to your insurance and who are you with? :smiley:

Did you fit them? Any feedback?

Mine have just arrived, but I won't get a chance to install them for a bit.

I'm really intrigued, as there seems to be so much general negativity towards both the company and products. The way I'm looking at it is, that the product I chose to order has been delivered, it turned up quickly and it was cheap!

At the end of the day, they were under £20. I wasn't trying to buy £200 Alpine speakers only to be fobbed off with something else. They're 13cm speakers that are going to be fitted to the rattly old interior in my car. I'm not really expecting to be astonished by how amazing they sound, or going to compare them to a high-end Hi-Fi installation. Can they really be THAT bad!?

Oh, and as I mentioned in an earlier post - I'm intending to fit them in an Impreza, so anything I fit is always going to be acoustically compromised by the boxer burble from the exhaust, (even though I've got two silencers on it - too old for "silly loud" these days!).

I would completely avoid, poor quality and the company is terrible, I had to instigate court action to sort things out, they threatened me with defamation for leaving honest reviews too.
