good TV but I did buy it at £339 from AO about 3 weeks ago with one of their recurring discount codes so it has been cheaper in the fairly recent past

That would be kind of you. I've been looking for a reason to pull the trigger on a TV like this for ages, and an extra bit of discount would finally convince me to!

I got 55m7000 for £549 from JL price matched sonicdirect but that was pot of luck. PRCdirect had/has it for £599 which richersounds should price match so you get the 6yo there as well.
Anyways I have 43" of this as well and it works great no issues.

2 years and in the bin. They are crap

Richer sounds will not price match sonic direct because the warranty is only 2 yrs n richer sounds claims it'll have to be at least 5 yr warranty for them to price match

Will they price match PRCDirect? (55")
I know JL was matching both sonic & PRC. I got my Sonic price match 24th Apr but JL sold out soon after that. Very happy with my unit, also manufacture date is Jan 2017 as well.
had this one for the last 6 months, its a decent telly and no more, the smart functionallity is sluggish and slow. Youtube is picky which 4k videos it will actually play, the back lighting is patchier than a teenagers beard, and the pink / red reproduction seems to suffer, making skins sometimes look redish or like people are wearing lipstick. (more at avforums on this )
Was ok for the price, think id do more research next time when buying a new tv. This is not a patch on my friends sony bravia 1080p tv which granted was 3 times the price but is now 2 years old. So word of warning

Decent cheap TV if not bothered about HDR.
If you already have a decent 1080p set though it won't be that much of an upgrade.

Don't waste your money, I've had it since last year and it's really naff, I wish I saved my money and bought a Samsung or LG instead.

43M3000 vs. a couple of 2015/2016 Sony mid/low range 40" 1080p (non-Android) TVs:
Build quality similar. Hisense a bit thicker, sony slimmer in parts but possibly more fragile.
Smart features similar. Both a bit clumsy and sluggish, I use my laptop rather. Other TVs might be better.
The cheaper Sony and this have a uneven greyish color when meant to be showing a black screen. This is probably the weakest point, but not really an issue in use. Mid-range Sony a bit better.
The cheaper Sony and the Hisense have a bit narrow viewing angles. The Hisense gets 'dirty' at an angle.
All look great to me when showing an image straight on.
This has 4k. Haven't used it yet.
I don't know how they last long-term. A 4k Sony is at least 100 ukp more. I'd say the Hisense is good value for money and has it's 'right to exist', don't shy away because of the lesser-known brand.

I've had this TV for 18 months now but I do prefer the picture on my dad's Seiki, so will probably buy that make when I replace this one.

Not sure why people are having picture issues, I've had my 43m3000 for 6+ months and it's been fine but I believe I followed AVForums and tuned the picture settings.
