Ok, I've found these, not sure if they would fit although they should as they are still pretty small, someone might need to measure up to be sure. that's two 1500mah packs so each pack will last over 2x the standard battery so between both packs you would get 4x the run time. £8.58 for the pair with free delivery. the only downside is you would have to wait for them to come from china.

You'd need to select the "SM black plug" option to get the right connector.

Nothing really special about the batteries apart from the non standard connector. This boat is probably sold under about 50 different brand names and I would be amazed if cheap spares aren't available. alternatively if you are handy with a soldering iron you could change the connector in the boat to the more common "deans" type connector and use any 7.4v "2s" lipo battery back that will physically fit in there which would give you much longer run times. you could probably even use the stock charger because although the main power connector is non standard the smaller "balance" connector which is used for charging IS the same as you would get on a common lipo battery pack. It would take much longer to charge but it should work in theory.

I'll have a look around and come back with what I find.

Got my son one of these for xmas Black Friday last year. They always £40. Got it for around £30. Very fast and good fun. Surprised how fast it is. Can lean it right on its sides to corner. Well worth £22. Buy 2 for that price to race them. One gets a bit boring after 15 minutes .

I've just ordered one.

I bought a very similar RC boat to this one years ago and never got much more then 6 mins use. So measured the interior and found the biggest battery online I could cram into it. Was much higher mah and a few more volts for extra speed.

The result was mental speed with at least 30 mins run time! But do this at your own risk :stuck_out_tongue:

Regarding the turning left thing, mine also suffered from this, but was always a case of mounting the battery dead center and then making adjustments with the trim.

It must charge through USB cable, 40 to 50 minutes to charge.

paid over £30 for a similar boat about 4 years ago for my son. They go like stink, definitely need another battery though as his would only last 4 to 5 minutes on full power.

wouldn't bother as they all have a design flaw where they cannot turn left properly.

Supposedly the latest model - h101 - lasts 10 minutes. But most reviews state the h100 gets about 2-3 minutes.

looks brilliant, sadly the ponds at the parks near me are more like swamps.....

I have one of these and it's amazing how fast it is and the low battery warning is a life saver so the boat isn't stuck in the middle of the water.

Anything less than £30 is a complete steal!!!
