Funnily enough, it's exactly the same for dungeons. Fractals are a lot more forgiving, but non-meta build in a crappy dungeon? Insta-kick.

It's also a requirement (as such) for Raids, if you aren't playing meta builds you will almost instantly be kicked from groups.

Anyway, if you've still got the login for your old account you can link it to your GW2 account for some rewards. Not sure what, but there's unique achievements and items and stuff for it. "Hall of Monuments" or something like that.
As for the deal: HoT really isn't worth the make-believe asking price of like £30-40, as all you really get out of it is an overpowered class for each profession (which is a requirement if you want to step foot in PvP). £12.99 is the cheapest it's ever been though. Worth a shot at that price.

Is GW1 and 2 separate games? I think mine might be a GW account... But I might be 2... But either way, I haven't logged in for an easy 8 years!

Yes, two separate keys, if you haven't logged in, in over 8 years it will most likely be a GW1 key (GW2 came out later).
As dee said above, you can link your GW1 account to your GW2 account to recieive Hall Of Monument (HOM) rewards (weapon skins, mini pets, titles etc).
I got the base game from CD keys years ago, no issues yet.
I have not played Heart of the Thorns yet as I considered it too expensive for a DLC. Now there are not many players left on my server

You can always raise ingame currency and exchange for gems to move server, most of the time it doesn't matter as you can do most content with people from other servers (raids, pvp, dungeons), exception being WVW.
I've been on whiteside ridge since the game was available and that it one of the lowest populated servers available.

Have to be careful buying this game from 3rd party sellers, you may find you get banned quite quickly, so don't be surprised if you do :smiley:

i think cdkeys is alright, ive bought gems a few times from them and havent had an issue.
