I've used ATS before for this a few years back, no problems they even gave the car the once over and no issues found (and it's quite an old car) so no upselling.

Would do this again except went for the Groupon Mr Clutch deal from a few weeks ago.

Hope some find this useful.

Car air-con recharge service is £28.95
Car air-con recharge service and an anti-bacterial treatment £32.95
Car air-con systems can be refreshed with this one-hour recharge and optional anti-bacterial cleaning treatment
Technicians will perform a pressure test to detect leaks in the air-con system; if none are detected, the service will go ahead and the air-con system will be recharged, meaning that drivers can stay cool when out on the road.

Present printed Groupon voucher on arrival. 24-hour cancellation policy. Voucher cannot be used with online bookings on the ATS Euromaster website. Excludes electric and hybrid vehicles. Not valid for system repairs. Air Con Services not available at every ATS Euromaster Centre. Valid for various locations Mon-Sat. Applies to vehicles with R134A refrigerant gas only. Vehicles with R1234YF refrigerant gas are excluded. For details of the refrigerant gas used in your vehicle refer to your vehicle manufacturer handbook. Had mine refilled at ats last time. Was empty within 12 months so I don't think they checked for leaks as per their blurb.

As others have noted, I used this service last year, didn't last though has been fine since taking it to my usual garage. Buy cheap, buy twice.

The problem is there is no way to test for a slow leak at these places. All they do is test for major leaks by seeing if it holds a vacuum for x amount of minutes. They should then inject uv dye, so that the next time it comes in empty the uv die will show where all the leaks are and they can then be repaired before topping up once again. Me being me i just bought all the equipment to do it myself. £70 pump £30 gauges £10 dye oil £30 refrigerant.

Had mine down a few months back via groupon with concorde.
Tried to scam me saying they had found my tyres and brakes were dangerous despite ;
A nothing to do with air con re-gas
B car passed mot a week earlier with no advisories.

I had mine refilled which finished within 3 months. I booked another cheap one with an independent garage and it still blows cold after 8 months. Not using them again

9 times out of 10 if your air con is not working there will be an issue with the system that would need to be investigated. I had my car in at ATS a few years back, it was pressure tested and I was told there was no leaks however it only lasted the summer. Would rather pay this each year than some specialist charging £100's to fix!

I had my aircon done by ATS in Eastleigh last month after the last deal was posted. Nice guys, no frills. They tested for big leaks with nitrogen, small leaks are not easily detected apparently and checks not included in the price. Took two hours as they weren't on time for my booking, would have been 30 minutes. Heat.
